Cloudy golden pour from bottle. Nose is burnt rubber bands and pine. Taste is an excellent balance of hoppy bitterness, tropical fruits and spice. Finish is grapefruitish (is that even a word??). Solid!!

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 arone12 (187) - Maryland, USA - AUG 21, 2010
Pours an orange color that is slightly hazy. Has a large white foamy head. Smells of citrus and earthy hops. Taste of oranges and other citrus fruits are prevalent in the beginning. Has quite the hoppy finish. Floral notes hit my mouth during this beer. Has blossoming oak tree tastes all over this drink. A fairly good ipa. I am a big fan of the hop - a - riffic beers and this is right up there.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Grizzle (71) - Lawrence, Kansas, USA - AUG 20, 2010
12 oz. -> shaker. At first blush, this is just your ordinary IPA: pours a translucent light amber, with a nice, frothy head and decent lacing. Then you smell it, and something seems off: hoppy, citrus, with subtle apricot and evergreen notes, and bubble gum? But when you taste it, you know this is no ordinary IPA.. Mixed in with the flora-citrus hoppiness and the subtle toasted maltiness are Bubblicious and the subdued bite of fresh black pepper. And balance? Perfect.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 cpetrone84 (294) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 18, 2010
A-pours a transparent slightly hazed golden orange with a good bit of dense creamy off white head that leaves a solid lacing.
S-a light bready malt lies up front with toasted grain in the middle. the hops take over with pine and citrus, notes of grapefruit, pear and appricot.
T-a lot of the same, extremely well balanced as the flavors seem to meld together in harmony, the malt base flashes quickly in the front with bready and caramel and compliments the piney hops towards the back. the toasted grain is behind the malt and adds an earthy quality that adds complexity and balance to the herbal hop presence. The citrus hops are juicy adding grapefruit, appricot, and mango. there is a moderate lingering bitterness that rolls down the back of the tongue. very well done!
M-light body, clean and crisp with a well done carbonation, juicy on the tongue and crisp in the finish.
D-this is a well balanced IPA that has malt flavors really complimenting the big hop presence. everything compliments each other so well, it has the complexity you want but the hop bomb and bitterness you need.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Pershing (221) - Garland, Texas, USA - AUG 18, 2010
Murky gold with a small head. Not much visual carbonation. Hoppy aroma and taste that lingers around after each swallow. Finishes slightly dry. If you love IPA’s then this is your beer. I find that American IPA’s are mostly over hopped.
