Typical Belgian yeasty aroma. Malty hop flavor with a medium body that is offset by the Belgian yeast characters. Pretty good but nothing to shout about.

Tap @ Stone O’Side. Amber red pour with an off-white head. Aroma is faded hops with a light clove influence and some soft sweet malt. Taste is interesting with light clive up front, an almost fruity, red wine flavor, and understated bitterness with pine. Clean and smooth mouthfeel. Great beer.

Very fruit forward, the Belgian yeast really helps balance the base of Levitation. Slightly bitter finish

Pretty much an amber pour with a light off white head. Aroma has some yeasty esthers, buttery notes and unripe stone fruit. Flavor has some more butter, yeast, bready notes, and unripe peaches/apricots. I do enjoy the hops that I tasted in this, but they are a bit lost in the other flavors.

At FWIBF, amber pour, Some hoppy and malty aromas, I tasted a lot of flavors on my tongue with different fruits and some grassy character. I enjoyed, different.

Appearance: Pours dark red. A top sits a small tan cap and leaves behind good lacing.
Aroma: Belgian yeast, piney hop aroma.
Taste: Spicy belgian yeast. Bitter piney hops, toasted sweet malt. Finishes with hop bitterness with short duration.
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with active high carbonation.
Overall: I’ve been hard pressed to find a Belgian style made by Stone that I’ve enjoyed. This little beer with big flavor broke the streak for me. This was balanced, tasty, very drinkable, and didn’t kill me with the Stone Belgian Style yeast strain. Very delicious.

On tap. Pours with a crystal clear copper hued body with a large and lasting, slightly off-white head. Aromas are medium hoppy, lots of caramel malt, citrusy, lightly minty, big apple esters, and nearly a bit of butterscotch. Flavors are of apple, caramelized, poached pear, strawberries, light hop presence, medium esters, caramel, light butterscotch. Medium bubbles, and a touch sweet.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 daleharshman (791) - San Diego, California, USA - MAY 1, 2012
This is Stone’s Levitation Ale made with Belgian yeast, coming in a little higher on the ABV. Growler fill from brewery. Pours a brownish-amber hue with off-white layer of foam. Lots of big bubbles sticking to the side of the glass makes this look kind of like cola. Aroma is full of fruit (apple, peach, lemon) with lesser notes of herby-grassy hops and wet grain. Flavor is still hop-forward with less of the Belgian yeast than the nose, with notes of herbs and citrus as well as some caramel. Light-medium body with a bit of lingering hop bitterness. Pretty nice...I liked the fruitiness the Belgian yeast imparts to the aroma. (2, 693)

Growler from stone. Clear reddish amber pour, with a large frothy off-white head. Light caramel malt, grain, notes of Stone’s "Belgian" yeast, and herbal hops. The Belgian yeast is not very noticeable, and the beer is very light. Might be good if you don’t want a lot of flavor in your beer.
