This deep amber ale has rich & roasty malt flavors, a big hoppy character, citrus overtones (courtesy of the hops and our special brewers yeast) and modest alcohol.

Amber color pour. Malt aroma dominates with pine/resin and some citrus underlying. Taste of big grassy, piney hops with a bit of the citrus and toned malt aspects. Pretty good overall.

A good beer all around. A nice heavy head with a body to compliment. Not a strong a aroma, but rather faint. It falls a little short. Great flavor.

Active carbonation, moderately hoppy amber. Nothing exceptional, but very drinkable at the end of a hot day. Thanks Boutip for studying what I have not had, in our sixth trade.

Bottle, Christmas 2006. Busted the top off while opening, but decided to brave the glass shards. Small foamy off-white head on a deep golden body, with strands of lace. Aroma is slightly sweet with a spicy hop tang. Flavor is smoothly sweet with the crisp but subdued hop finish. Good beer. My insides are now bleeding.

Bottle courtesy of Naven: Poured a deep amber color ale with a small foamy head with limited retention. Aroma of light piney hops with some caramel malt. Taste is somewhat hoppy with some light caramel malt notes also noticeable. Body is fuller then average with some medium carbonation. I understand that the brewer wanted to have a session beer with limited alcohol but there also too much limited taste – not something I thought I was going to be saying about Stone someday.

On tap it pours a nice amber gold. Mild aromas of some malt and bitterness. Slight carbonation on the palate. Flavors are ok and kinda thin and not much length on the finish but not bad for 4.4%.

Bottle at Mondial 07
Light brown, clean ale, fine thick crown displayed.
Clean hoppy, citric – fruity aroma. Refreshing, pleasant nose.
From first sip you will notice very clean work. Frontal mineral hops, smooth body. Session bitter ale, very drinkable and refreshing. Neatly balanced. This is one of few excellent examples of lighter (alcohol wise) examples from USA proving that more is not always better. Highly recommended!

pours an amber color w/ a pretty thick white head and some nice lacing. Aroma is some citrus almost grapefruit skins with a light carmel and almost a floral part. Palate is pretty avg. Flavor is fairly light some carmels and basic citrus.. like a real light ipa w/ some over grains.. not bad, not stellar.

Bu au Mondial 07. Couleur terre-cuite, très peu de collet. Arome d’houblon très sucré. Goût d’houblon liquide et amère. Passable!

nice dark copper color. malty grapefruit nose. huge clean grapefruit flavor remains for a nice mouthfeel. light caramel and hop balance make this a very good amber. a change from stone’s usually aggressive beers...
