3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle from Santa. Pours a light copper color with a fluffy light brown head that receedes leaving a thick lacing. Nose is quite malty, light nuts and roastiness. Big bitter hops upon first sip, stings the palate throughout for several seconds. sorta dies down to reveal some malty, roasty, undertones. very unexpected and a very nice suprise. Finishes with a slight bitterness retaining in your throat and a light film over your entire mouth.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JUL 6, 2009 2009-06-26. Did not take substantial notes but this had much more orange and more resin than I recall my previous sample having. Fresher and more assertive. + 1 overall. Bottle, from Premier Gourmet, Buffalo
December 2005. Bottle. Dark ruby tinged amber. with a good sized beige head. Hoppy caramel aroma. Flavour is likewise, with plently of caramel and malt and pleasant moderate green hops, and mild resin notes. A bit like Arrogant Bastards younger brother? Average to medium bodied palate. Quite nice, I liked this better than the Stone Pale Ale. Thanks Harry. 6/4/6/4/15 - 3.5

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle - thanks to HogTownHarry. Lovely dark copper colour with a small white head. Inviting aroma of fresh hops with some fruit & toasty malt notes. Flavour holds some nice sweetness, with some caramel & honey, and a solid but not overpowering herbal hop finish. Nice stuff that would be a regular session beer for me if it was easily available locally.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle courtesy of Hogtown Harry. Nice ruby red colour, small white head. Strong aroma of cherry candy and hops. Soft medium mouthfeel. Taste of hops - lots of piney hops and the front and back. Some malt sweetness associated with the amber style as well. A little watery and bland. Finishes with toasty malt and some grapefruit hops. One of the better ambers I have had, enjoyable session beer.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: FEB 18, 2006 Deep golden color with a creamy ivroy head with a light pine aroma. An evanescence quality to the taste of this beer. Citrus and spices give very good character to this ale. Not the best Stone, but as usual, far better than most other beers.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Heres the best comment I can give about this beer. I finished drinking it about 5 minutes ago and wanted to rate it now - I can’t remember anything about the beer. It is a fine beer but pretty lackluster - not bad and not good. Solid ale from a good brewery but not their best work.
