| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 19, 2009 12oz bottle. Nice amber pour with a fluffy head. Aroma is sweet caramel and spicy hops. The flavor is much the same with enough hop character to clean up the normally sweet amber. A very easy-to-drink ale with an alcohol level that makes it sessionable. Maverick34 (695), New York, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 18, 2009 12 oz. bottle shared by bellportbeer. Pours a clear amber brown with a thin off-white head. Pleasant aroma of grapefruit and pine. The flavor is mild malt up front followed by some grapefruit, grapefruit pith, and pine. Bitter finish. I was surprised when I read the bottle that the abv is only 4.4%. Who knew Stone could make a session beer?! jeremytoni (1089), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 14, 2009 Bottle from City Beer in SF. Dark copper color with an off-white head. Aroma of citrusy hops and yeast. Flavor is sweet caramel malt with some roasted notes and Stone’s typical grapefruity hops providing a bitter finish. Almost like a watered down Arrogant Bastard. Palate is a little watery, but overall the beer is excellent for the style and the ABV. PilsnerPeter (2612), Flushing, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 13, 2009 Bottle: Rusty copper brown color with a thin light tan head. Smells like a Stone beer! Piny, grapefruit-like hops, spicy, with a light toasted dark bread sweetness. Light fluffy body. Malty flavor- lightly toasted and fairly dry with a light husky and seedy character. Fresh, but the hop presence in the flavor seems restrained (especially considering the aroma) Cascade citrus notes are there under the malt. I would prefer more bittering hops, but it’s solid, nonetheless.
