arondee (176), Tucson, Arizona, USA Mar 19, 2009 Poured a reddish brown with a very small white head that faded fast. It smells really good, very floral, lots of hops and grass in the nose. The strange thing about this beer is that it keeps getting worse the more I taste it. My initial impression was very good but the more I smell and taste it the worse it’s getting. The floral smell is almost offensive now and the taste is just too weird for me. Not enough bitter hops, not enough alcohol. probably my least favorite beer from stone. War4soccer (115), , Nevada, USA Mar 15, 2009 tasting at lake las vegas!!kinda underrated!! a nice beer to enjoy!!nice reddish color..solid flavour throughout!! Plamadude30k (122), Tucson, Arizona, USA Mar 14, 2009 Pours a reddish amber with a fair amount of head. Nose is pretty much an IPA and taste follows. I’m kind of disappointed in this one, it seems like a basic copy of everything else Stone has done. I wish they’d change it up a bit. bethmatt0421 (317), Covington, Kentucky, USA Mar 11, 2009 Citrus hop nose, flavor is thick peppery malts, citrusy hops, some florals. A thicker body than youll find on most other ambers. I would agree with minch25 on this, the most punch out of a beer with only 4.4% alcohol. A good beer. minch25 (346), Columbus, Ohio, USA Mar 11, 2009 Deep reddish copper. smells like arrogant bastard, other stone beers. Flavor - toasty bitter rusted pipes. Maybe the most flavor and bitterness I’ve seen in a beer this low in abv. More or less well made, though not quite my cup of tea. clingman71 (239), Centerville, Ohio, USA Mar 8, 2009 Updated: Mar 9, 2009Deep copper color, crystal clear, nice beige head. Aroma of caramel malt and slight hop spice. Thin mouthfeel, hoppy, but too watery and thin to really let the hops shine. Watery, watery, watery. I know that this is a session beer, low alcohol, but give me something, some body. It is beautiful, has decent aroma, but no body to carry any flavor. AND, IT IS THE SAME PRICE AS THE EXCELLENT STONE IPA?????????? I would rather drink 1 or 2 less IPAs than session drink this beer. GMUcrew7 (353), Mason, Ohio, USA Mar 7, 2009 Pours dark amber, with a big frothy beige head. Modest aroma, sweet caramel malt and floral hops. Impressive robust flavor for an amber, biscuit and caramel malts with a hefty dose of hops. Kudos to Stone, this is their lowest rated highly distributed beer, and it is a very tasty flavorful amber ale which is in my opinion one of the most boring styles of beer out there. Darkover (1308), Columbus, Ohio, USA Mar 5, 2009 Dark amber color with a beige head. Aroma of floral hops and sweet malts. Flavor of citrus/grapefruit hops and sweet/roasted malts.
