Aroma is of caramel malts and citrus and pine hops. Flavor is pretty malty with a decent amount of citrus hops and fruit. Bitter finish that doesn’t linger as long as I thought it would. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 19, 2009 Rich malty brown with a zingy, and very level, beige head. Pink grapefruit in the fruity hops which allow room for just a touch of sweetness in the aroma. The malts are apparent but not in the foreground by any stretch of the imagination. Mangoes throughout the flavour with slightly bitter passion-fruit from the hops. The rich malts appear early only to be doused by the hops before they get to heavy. Got a little thickness to it which helps keep it real. Very tasty overall, an excellent beverage if you like something a little darker or less intense than their IPAs. DSG (1501), Tel Aviv, Israel

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 12, 2009 Bottle. Golden-amber pour with a fluffy white head. Aroma is of caramel and citrus. Mouthfeel has a little bite from the bitterness but far from overwhelming. Flavors are of caramel, bread, citrus and pine. The aftertaste is very clean and light. This is a great session beer. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jan 10, 2009 Local brew, but I haven’t had a chance to try it at the brewery yet. Tried it for the first time out of the bottle. Pours clear amber color with minimal head. I didn’t find it quite as bitter as some of the reviewers here. Taste is pretty hops forward, with a good spiciness. It could use more malt to balance the flavor.
