Lively carbonation. Wonderful West Coast hops taste with some caramel intervalls. Grass hay and yeast nose. Nice dry finish. With 4.4 % a great one - this is an everyday beer for me!!! aracauna (2427), Georgia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 30, 2006 This was a definite surprise. The beer is darker than expected, and the juicy hop aroma that greeted my nose was totally unexpected for a beer coming in a 4.4%. Brown, slightly hazed. Candied hop flavor, not a lot of malt involved, but doesn’t have an unbalanced bitterness. Crit (2417), New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jun 13, 2007 Bottle courtesy of Naven: Poured a deep amber color ale with a small foamy head with limited retention. Aroma of light piney hops with some caramel malt. Taste is somewhat hoppy with some light caramel malt notes also noticeable. Body is fuller then average with some medium carbonation. I understand that the brewer wanted to have a session beer with limited alcohol but there also too much limited taste – not something I thought I was going to be saying about Stone someday. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Aug 3, 2003 Reddish amber gold body; good lacing. This is one of those session ales that you could just drink all day long - lower alcohol, but full flavors. Malts were somewhat toasty, bready and sweet. The hops were as strong as expected - full of pine and citrus, and lingering afterwards. Thankfully, Chris brought a couple of bottles of this back from California - I really wish it was availlable in Ohio.
