COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This deep amber ale has rich & roasty malt flavors, a big hoppy character, citrus overtones (courtesy of the hops and our special brewers yeast) and modest alcohol.

Dark, malty flavor. Will tingle your tongue with spices and roasted hops. Pair it with spicy chicken wings. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Thin flat body. Excellent rich amber color. Smoky, rye bread malt. Bitter, intense finish as is typical of all of the Stone beers I’ve tried. Didn’t taste the fruit or floral.

Bottle pour. Dark plum-red with off-white head in glass. Solid lacing. Aroma starts dank, then evolves to be mostly mild nuts and wood. Body is medium to light. English is execution; never sweet and lacking the general caramel malt backing that so many Stone offering have. Latent hemp flavors in the background. Measured intensity. Straightforward and enjoyed.

10,13,12,12,13,12 - 12,00

Bottle from the Robert Gillow Bottle Shop in Lancaster. Amber with a cream head. A really tasty beer. Toasty base with plenty of pine hop notes. Very drinkable.

355mL bottle BB 07/29/14 Excellent looking beer - clear amber body, holds a rocky inch of head painting thick lace on the glass. Hops take front seat; pine sap, cedar, clove, very wood & spicy with notes of tomato stalk, overly ripe stonefruit & toasty caramel malt. Medium body, good carbonation, oily sticky sort of texture. Spicy hops continue on the body; resiny, sappy, dried herbs with citrus rind & biscuity, toasty malts. Good forward bitterness to finish. Solid American amber, possibly lacking malt complexity, but punches well above its weight for a modest abv

Bottle. Cloudy, reddish-brown color with tall, cream-colored head. Aroma is very fruity and floral, combined with yeast. Moderate carbonation with a smooth, clean palate. Complex taste of fruits (grapefruit, lemon, and tart cherry) followed by lingering, but not overpowering, piney bitterness of the hops. This is an impressive brew!

Bottle poured into a shaker glass. Nice amber color and a soapy white 1 finger head; a very piney aroma...almost a gin aroma to it and a tiny bit of lemon; taste is much the same up front with a lingering piney aftertaste; nice lively carbonation and a smooth mouthfeel. How did they pack this much flavor into such a small ABV? This is a must have session beer.

Nummenrannassa. Wonderful beer, especially due to relatively low abv. Another great one from Stone.
