COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This deep amber ale has rich & roasty malt flavors, a big hoppy character, citrus overtones (courtesy of the hops and our special brewers yeast) and modest alcohol.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber color with a moderate head to it. A mix of hops and malts to the nose. Well balanced, but longer lasting on the palate than I would wish for as light as it is.

Bottle from a friend. Fruity hops on the nose, pineapple and peaches. Mild taste with a very light body, some fruity hops. It almost feels like a light beer, but a very good one at that.

Nice hoppy aroma, not a bad beer by any means. Some spicey flavours along with some some caramel and citrus flavours. Would be a pretty good session beer.

Bottle from Stirchley Wines, Birmingham. Poured a clear chesnut brown with a broken white head and minimal lace. The aroma is rich and of malt and hops which follows into the medium bitter, slightly metallic and watery flavour. A decent beer and quite refreshing, but it’s been copied by many others and the world has moved on.

Good beer. It didn’t really strike me as a red ale. Flavorful, good hops, refreshing.

12 oz bottle from Wilbur’s. Deep amber and clear with a sticky off-white head. Toasty nutty malts, light citrus hops aroma. Similar flavor with a light soft body. Clean crisp feel with a dry finish. It was alright

Didn’t see this one coming from stone. It is not up to their usual high standards. and there’s hardly any alcohol in it. Weak

A decent stone beer. brown in color, nice and bitter for an amber. Not a spectacular stone product but really good.

Incredible big aroma of pink grapefruit. Deep amber color, some head. Less enticing flavor, the bitterness being too pronounced for my taste and the overall impression being too unidimensional. Long bitter finish.

I enjoyed this beer but I don't think it measures up to the rest of the Stone brews. Amber color with a medium white head. Mild hop and malt flavor and dry finish. A pretty good session brew, but not great.
