Commercial Description:
This deep amber ale has rich & roasty malt flavors, a big hoppy character, citrus overtones (courtesy of the hops and our special brewers yeast) and modest alcohol.

Some toasty caramel and brown sugar sweetness in the aroma, with a lively addition of piney, spicy, earthy and faintly citric hop. Nice orange-red coloration, with a slight head and wisps of lacing. Initially malty, light and sweet flavor, but soon enough sees the earthy, piney, lightly spicy hop bitterness intermingled. Lingering hoppy finish. Light bodied and highly drinkable.

Forgiving its color, this might as well be a very aggressive koelsch or a light pale ale. Crisp body with touches of toast and fruit. Slightly resinous feel. I'm not sure what to do with this. It's a bit aggressive for casual drinking and yet doesn't have enough horsepower to stand alone. Another fine brew but I have to slight it for a lack of what I'd call utility.

Fresh hoppy nose - fairly big and broad. Amber color, small foamy head. Thin malt body, some nutty flavor that goes by really quick. Dry end - it evaporates in the your mouth, but leaves a lingering bitter. If you’re going light, go for this - it’s a great 4.4% alcohol beer.

Growler of draft from Gingerman NY, NY. Pours a hazy light brown in color with a modest sized head. The aroma is lightly toasted, somewhat phenolic, with a citrus note. It has a light to medium body, flavor notes of citrus, grassy hops, and a malty sweetness note. Great session beer if you like light hoppy ales.

Nice looking brown appearance. Woody, malty aroma. For a minute I thought I had finally found it, a light beer that was drinkable along with anything else I'd normally drink, but the finish was a bit off: lingering and annoying. Still leaps and bounds better than any beer I've ever had with this ABV.

Mild aroma. Good head, copper color. Taste is solid and hoppy, quite well balanced. A little too bitter for the style, but still a very good beer.

Cask-RAF-2/28/03-I agree with Fraternie on this one-I have to say the same thing as he did on this-nice session ale with a nice hop bite in the finish. This is a brew i could drink everyday. ReRate-im not changing the rating here, but this reminds me of Arrogant bastard jr. or Mini Me of Arrogant bastard-similar palate profile.

This tastes like a toned down 8th Anniversary. There, I’ve said it. But that’s not a bad thing at all. Pours orangey copper, with a thin tan head. Spicy/sweet aroma. Toasty, smoky foavor, mingled with notes of earth and pine. Nicely full bodied. Very enjoyable. Thanks to Springslicker for this one!
