This deep amber ale has rich & roasty malt flavors, a big hoppy character, citrus overtones (courtesy of the hops and our special brewers yeast) and modest alcohol.

Had a sample after the tour back in ’08, but I have overlooked rating this for too long. In honor of Stu, I picked 6 at Crown#6. Pours a cloudy hazed brownish/amber with slight beige head. Nose is fresh floral hops with surprisingly forward pine note. Taste is smooth and reveals how well the malt character balances it out, but is much less of a punch than the nose led on to. Hops are a little light in terms of "Stone", yet more than enough to please the palate, and a good citrus/earth-tone/floral/pine mix. If session beer were a category, this would be at the top. Eventually it tastes slightly watered down, but at no point would I say it tastes ’bad’.

Ok beer , too hoppy, not impressive. For a red ale, this is not the traditional style, needs more malt. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This beautiful copper colored beer has a citrus aroma. It has a nice robust smokey flavor and some of that big hop flavor stone is known for.

Clear dark autumn amber with a frothy off-white head. Hoppy aroma and very hoppy flavor. Moderate bitterness. Pine. Woody. Citrus. Seemingly just enough toasty maltiness to keep things under control but certainly hop forward. Light. Crisp. Dry. Seems more akin to what is now being referred to as a session ale. Could easily have a few of these.

12 oz. bottle from BevMo. Aroma is citrus, caramel and hazelnut. Taste is hoppy and spicy that fades to a light but sharp bitter. Hop dominated style, yet caramel, grass and some malt notes in the finish. Low carbonation. Tasty and refreshing session brew.

12 oz Bottle. Tasted on 11/19/14. Beer from Total Wine Lewisville, TX. Pours to a deep amber color with a tan head. Aroma was pine, earthy, slight hops. Taste was bitter that lingered & some malt & pine. Overall it was just to me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
