COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This deep amber ale has rich & roasty malt flavors, a big hoppy character, citrus overtones (courtesy of the hops and our special brewers yeast) and modest alcohol.

12 oz. bottle. A handsome beer that is very drinkable. and hoppy. Seems more like a northern brown bitter or even an old ale, but without any of the sourness that sometimes tags along with those styles. Simple and true, tastes like a age old European beer.

Bottle from Ølhandleriet, shared april 13th. Malty aroma with caramel and citrus hops. Sweet caramel and pine taste, good bitterness and quite dry. Finishes with caramel and orange. Not by any means as in-your-face-taste as other Stones I’ve had, but then again it’s also the lowest abv by far I’ve had from them. A decent amber anyway.

330ml bottle, pours an amber golden brown with a foamy white head, solid caramel malt backbone, with some light citrus tang dancing on the tongue, a really good session abv ale.

Copper to amber coloured with nice beige head. Lots of pine coney hops in the aroma. The taste has some slight licorice aromas and dry bitter hops. The body is rather thin and makes the finish a bit watery.

Well made and balanced beer. Malty aroma and palate but kept in check but a noticeable, but not overpowering hop influence.

Retrogosto seco, amargo e refrescante. Álcool fraco, excelente drinkability! Ótima breja! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle into snifter glass. Dark copper amber color with off-white head. Aroma of mostly earthy hops, some citrus and surprisingly minimal caramel malt. Taste brings out more of the caramel malt sweetness typical for the style, bitter citrus hops come out for balance. Light body, moderate carbonation, crisp with a dry finish. Pretty good, heavier on the hops then most amber ales (like Stone is with most styles).

Poured from a 12oz bottle to an English Pint. A session-able sipper. From the get the hops pop. The aroma has a nice mix of earthiness and grapefruit citrus. There also seems to be a little almond like nuttiness and suede. The taste really has a fruit forward juiciness with the hops giving a well rounded bitterness and mouthfeel. The color of this ale is a classic ruby copper. It poured with a nice deep khaki head that dissipated quickly. How a Cali Ale puts me in mind of an English countryside Pub I have no idea but this does so wonderfully. Sweet meadow and clover also make an appearance. This really is a must try. It just misses the top of the mark for me..but I will return to this one and think it would pair nicely with a variety of foods. The first thing that comes to mind is a lamb salad with fresh greens with balsamic and a rustic bread. Good Good Stuff

Draft at hrh. Awesome aroma and a nice clear rose color. Very rye flavor that is slightly overwhelming.
