2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Loved reading the label. However i felt a bit let down by the drinking experience. Was expecting something...different. Really didn’t set itself apart from the other Bastards. May have been my least favorite from the box set, definitely the most disappointing.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A deep maltieness and hint of tart with wood come from this clearish reddish brew with an offwhite head. The taste is sweetish with oak and bitterness in the aftertaste. This lightish medium bodied brew has good carb. And is well balanced and worth the try. Has a ver slight warming feelin from the alcohol.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A deep copper color with a beige head. The aroma contains some caramel, citrus, toasted bread, and chocolate. The flavor is bitter with a bit malty profile existing on it. It contains some bitter notes with chocolate, toffee, citrus, and alcohol. How is this beer ANY different than Arrogant Bastard. Its like holy crap Im whisked away to 2001 and me getting into craft beer. Not a bad thing. Overall this is basically a tweek on a classic. Good.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Clear ruby-brown, creamy fizzy beige head, watery legs. Looks, smells and tastes a lot like the Tuatara Double Trouble - drank both past their sell-by date and wonder if that's the reason for it. Aroma is overripe pear, sweet bready malt, toffee, maple syrup, grassy resinous piney hop. Tastes of sweet crisp malt, toffee, dry bitter hop, pine, spice, very light pepper, lemon. Body is bitter, a bit of slickness and spice, dry fluffy finish. A little musty (due to its age?) but tasty.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from QClub at home (best before Jan 1, 2015 so may be a bit not fresh). Translucent copper pour like the others in the bastard series - a bit lighter. Aroma is super resinous hops - like other very hopped SD IPAs. Tastes dank and juicy - over ripe fruit (but not raisiny), but that could be due to it being past drink by date. Very bitter but with strong malty backing. A bit boozy. Tastes very similar to Tuatara Double Trouble - big big hops of all flavors (resin, ripe stone fruit, citrus), lots of malt and booze. Would be great to try fresh but this is good as is. Lasting booziness.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber into tulip. Looks almost like a red ale, thin rapidly dissipating head. Primarily hops on the nose, with a touch of sweet fruit. In the mouth, it’s fairly heavy. A bit of high alcohol sweetness, which I find a bit surprising for "only" 8.5%. Not sure I’d’ve said oak without knowing it was oaked, but as I do, well, it’s a bit oaky. In the finish, the hops come dominate. Finishes a bit sticky. Not bad, but I prefer straight Arrogant Bastard -- which isn’t surprising, as I"m sort of middling on the Double Bastard and Oaked Bastard.
