COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lukcy Basartd is a dry-hopped meeting-of-the-Bastards in a in-the-fermenter-blend of Arrogant Bastard Ale and Double Bastard Ale…with a perfect balance of the essence of OAKED Arrogant Bastard Ale. All in all, one awesome Bastard.

Lukcy Basartd Ale will be released in November and should be available in many of the enlightened locations where the liquid Arrogance is typically found.

This is a ‘once only’ special release commemorating the 13 year anniversary of when Arrogant Bastard Ale was first released upon the unsuspecting public. That is, ‘once only’ unless we decide to make it again.

Stone Lukcy Basartd has a medium, cream-colored head, a mostly clear, rust-red appearance, and a nice lace curtain left on the glass. The aroma is rather bursting, and one picks up strong, but not piney, hop resin, brown, syrupy malt, and sweetness. Taste is the same, and the bitterness balances the sweetness quite well. Mouthfeel is medium, and Lukcy Basartd finishes semi-dry and easy drinking. RJT

Pours a dark amber color with an off white head leaving a little lacing. Nice malty aroma. Nice malty flavor up front with a bit of hoppiness in the middle. Little aftertaste of smooth maltiness.

From the 650 ml. bottle with a drink by Jan 1, 2015 date. Handsome reddish brown pour with long lasting cream colored head and some lacing. The aroma is of baked malts, orange peel, dark fruit, cedar and earth. The body is medium to full and carbonated. The vibrant earthy bitter hop character expresses itself louder than anything else in the taste. More so than the aroma. Sweetish caramel and toffee malts under it all. Lingering finish.

Pours a dark mahogany with a foamy white head. Aroma is pine, caramel, and resin. Flavor is sweet pine, oak, and resin. Bitterness is medium to high, not quite as bitter as their other "Bastard" ales. Has a full body. Very tasty.

So so good. Pour is deep mahogany with a medium cream colored head. Almost a perfectly clear beer that reflects like a mirror. Aroma is a good mix of hops and malts with nice pine under tone. Creamy beer that sticks to the tongue and makes the flavors linger for extra enjoyment. Mostly hops but still has a malty sweetness that balances the bitter.

Pours dark brown with thick head. Smell is hop, resin, citrus and caramel malt. Taste is caramel, toffee, resin and toasted malt. Heavy body, medium carb.

Tap at haute dish. Dark mahogany with very thick airy white head and good lacing. Aggressive nose. Very bitter and drying. Some dark fruit and alcohol hidden. Some prune. Full flavored and complex. Still, I expected more.

Bottle from Champanes, this beer had a clear dark brown and red pour and gave a one to two finger cover, it left some spots of lacing on the glass, the nose had aromas of citrus and grass hops with dark malt notes of dark candy, horehound, faint coffee and vanilla, and some roasted malt, the flavors were citrus and spice hops, some roasted malt, very faint coffee, caramel, dark candy, brown sugar and molasses sweetness, some lemon and citrus notes that were probably from the hops, the finish had a hop bitterness, the mouth feel was light to medium, it was a little creamy and had average carbonation, I did not like the mix of the flavors in this beer, I think the hops and malt flavors did not go together well, I have had the Arrogant Bastard and Double Bastard, I liked those Stone beers but this drink was not to my liking.
