3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a deep amber color. Aroma is of hops, tree bark, and citrus. Flavor is of centennial hops, cascade hops, and grapefruit. Leaves a very strong hop finish. This is definitely not for people who don’t like hops.

taste is a great hop punch, with a very filling mouth feel. Aftertaste is nice and bitter. Too bad I only have 1 bottle!

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma: Neat citrus aroma , fresh , clean frontal feel. Caramel follow up together with mango and peach.
Appearance: slight haze , ruby-brown with large creamy top. Sticky lace on glass walls. 4-
Flavour and Palate: Medium plus bodied. Leafy overtone hop character. Fairly mild carbonation. Brown-caramel malt blend. Mild hop citric finish. Nice offering but not great one.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
#100 - 22oz bottle pours a lightly hazy, deep copper amber with a thick, creamy, lacing, slightly off white head. Nose has plenty of citrus hops, It’s very much an "earthy" brew, so much in the sense that it overwhelms the taste buds to the point where it lingers.Super smooth with soft carbonation and a medium body. An excellent blend. ( Clark)

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured from a 22 ounce bomber into a Duvel tulip.
Appearance: Pours a dark caramel color with a 2-3 finger fluffy light tan head. Excellent head retention and lacing.
Smell: Sweet citrus, pineapple and caramel malt with just a hint of alcohol peeking through in the background. Very fruity hop aroma. Smells great.
Taste: Caramel malt up front for just a moment before sweet citrus pops up in the middle leading to a blast of bitter lemon peel and grapefruit with a touch of pine at the finish. Mildly spicy with definite notes of black pepper. Aftertaste is solidly bitter with just a hint of sweet caramel to balance it out.
Mouthfeel: Full-bodied with a decent amount of carbonation. There is a distinct stickiness to the hops that coat the mouth.
Drinkability: Pretty good drinkability. The alcohol is masked pretty well, meaning that this one has the potential to sneak up on you. I’ll finish the bomber, but spiciness and high alcohol content keep me from wanting any more.
Overall: Very good beer overall. As usual, Stone doesn’t disappoint. This is definitely worth checking out.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22oz bottle poured into a tulip. No freshness info. Pours clear and brownish red with good carbonation evident. Two fingers of foam. Good lacing. Great nose. Superbly balanced spicy-sweet malt and fresh, lively hops. Very complex. Its tough for me to pick out any distinct aromas. Good mouthfeel. Full bodied but a nice amount of carbonation. A smooth and not too heavy malt infiltrates the palate first but the hops are fast on its heels. The two end up mingling in a very unique way. The hops come through at the end but aren’t too resiny. Any heavy malt is wiped away and the finish is rather crisp and clean. Quite drinkable. Again, the complexity here doesn’t allow my admittedly dull palate to pick out anything distinct but it is very enjoyable. Definitely a different experience from any of the other Bastards.

Hazy medium brown in the glass. Aroma of oak, citrus and resiny hops. Caramel malt and dried fruits with more oak on the palate. Potent hop bitterness. Interesting combination of flavors. Full bodied.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
I love Arrogant Bastard, Oaked Arrogant Bastard, and Double Bastard, so no surprise I like this one as well. Oak is very subtle here, but one can tell it’s a blend of those 3. A dark amber color, nice lacing, and a nice appearance in the glass. Plenty of hops in the aroma and hops (grassy) dominate the flavor profile. A nice beer, and an interesting blend of the three AB’s.

Bottle courtesy of Ian of the Tallahassee crew, pours deep amber and hops, hops, hops, a hop bomb IPA with some malty sweetness on the back end. Not bad, nothing special.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: FEB 9, 2011 Thanks to Homerwantsbeer for sharing a bottle. Pours a hazy dark amber color with a medium light beige head that dissipates steadily. Rings of lacing. Aroma of citrus, piney hops and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of hops, caramel malt, pine and citrus. The finish is grapefruity hops with a lingering bitterness left behind. Another solid effort from Stone.
