COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lukcy Basartd is a dry-hopped meeting-of-the-Bastards in a in-the-fermenter-blend of Arrogant Bastard Ale and Double Bastard Ale…with a perfect balance of the essence of OAKED Arrogant Bastard Ale. All in all, one awesome Bastard.

Lukcy Basartd Ale will be released in November and should be available in many of the enlightened locations where the liquid Arrogance is typically found.

This is a ‘once only’ special release commemorating the 13 year anniversary of when Arrogant Bastard Ale was first released upon the unsuspecting public. That is, ‘once only’ unless we decide to make it again.

Bomber. Brew is loaded with a ton of different flavors mixed together. Citrus, pine, tropical fruit, dark fruit, caramel and roasted malts. Resiny and sticky. Solid bitterness throughout. Dangerously easy to drink. Tasty.

Pours hazy ruby red with a finely bubbled off white head that fades to a rim and faint coating. Aroma is caramel malts, wood, resin, citrus. Taste is pine hops, oak, and bitter grapefruit on a burnt malt bed. Very dry. Bitter finish. Dry hopping is evident. Balance is enhanced with some warming. Enjoyable blend 'o bastards.

On tap at Yard House in Portland, OR. Aroma: malty, piney, and nutty, with hints of caramel, toffee, and resin. Taste/Palate: sweet; starts crisp, and finishes creamy and slightly astringent, with a long bitterness.

Poured from tap at the Yard House in Portland. Aroma is grassy and somewhat barnyard. Has a hoppy bite with a strong grassy flavor to it. Finishes bitter and beautiful.

Tap in a tulip glass at Butcher and the Boar with commonshawn. Visually right up my alley. Big frothy head on a mahogany colored ale. Aroma is mostly hoppy with a hint of malt. The head shows a willingness to stick around. Taste really feels like an imperial IPA...plenty hopness. Aggressive like most Stone varieties. I have a strong desire for a more balance...more sweetness or sour/tart fruit. A really well done beer as expected from this brewery...just not as amazing as I thought it would be.

The aroma is malty with hints of hops. Caramel, some raisin, dates and a hint of spruce hops. Pours a brown amber with a big light brown head, mostly diminishing, with excellent lacing. The taste is not sweet, not sour a touch bitter most be umami. The body is medium, the texture creamy, the carbonation lively and the finish long. Very Good!

Dark fruit aroma of brambles, cigar smoke, and applejuice. Dark copper, nice foam and lace. A very balanced sour, sweet, and bitter ale. Thick, creamy texture. Overall, a great malty beer.
