COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lukcy Basartd is a dry-hopped meeting-of-the-Bastards in a in-the-fermenter-blend of Arrogant Bastard Ale and Double Bastard Ale…with a perfect balance of the essence of OAKED Arrogant Bastard Ale. All in all, one awesome Bastard.

Lukcy Basartd Ale will be released in November and should be available in many of the enlightened locations where the liquid Arrogance is typically found.

This is a ‘once only’ special release commemorating the 13 year anniversary of when Arrogant Bastard Ale was first released upon the unsuspecting public. That is, ‘once only’ unless we decide to make it again.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Pours a clear amber with a small yellow-ish head. Aroma is a burst of hops with slight malty sweetness. Strong hop flavors along with alcohol presence in the taste, with some sweetness to it. As said in the description, it is between Arrogant Bastard and the Double Bastard in flavor and strength. Average carbonation that leaves the palate cleanly. Some lacing left on the glass.

On tap @ Copper Coin. Pours bright dark reddish amber with thin lacy off-white head. Aroma is dry oaky caramel malt, slight bourbon on the finish. Taste is big roasty caramel malt, lots of oaky notes and some lightly sweet bourbon on the back. Very dry on the finish. Lots of malt here. Truly a mix of the constituent beers. Definitely drier and oakier than regular Arrogant Bastard.

Nice golden copper pour. The taste of all three brews is intense. I get a bit of barley wine in this as well. Solid brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours clear deep brown with a medium beige head, moderate retention, very fine lacing. Big toasty aroma, with notes of oak, molasses, fig, grass, and pepper. Medium full body, crisp, dry, (alcohol) hot. Medium sweet, with a lingering medium-strong bitter finish. Very intensely malty, flavorful, and complex, almost over-the-top.

The aroma comes off a little oxidized surprisingly papery, some caramilized dates soaked in booze, a subdued grapefruit hop notes. Flavors are rather sweet, intense maltiness that are astringent and slight copper at times while citrus and grapefruity notes pop threw with some oak as well. A full mouth feel that has a syrupy linger on the palate. Long simple brown sugar maltiness sits cloyingly.

Dark ruby pour. Big off white head. Plenty of lacing. Big malty aroma with a nice bouquet of hops. Peppery. Taste is hops up front with a ton of malt.
