4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A beautiful deep orange color and fruity aroma made me expect something completely different than the mouthful of smoke that was delivered. The bitter dry fruit are given a back seat.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
More Belgian ale or Belgian strong than Saison at 10%. Just a hint of tart. Comte sweet and yeasty than anything else. Aroma sweet Belgian with a little cherry. Smoke only comes out at room temp. Smoke more peeve land in the flavor. Less cherry. A pretty good beer, but pretty ho hum for Stone. Mighta been better at 6-7%."

An extremely complex brew with a unique taste. Smoky nose carries through into the flavors rounded out by honey and dark red fruit.

4.1 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
I say GODDAMN!!!! This is a damn fine smoked saison. It really isn’t a smoked as much as it is a saison. Farmhouse flavors with a little smoke. Good with fish, or chicken. Fried chicken, even better.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cherry and sour describe this beer. But I like cherry and sour. So in general its not to good. Draft... no head, not the beer you are looking for. For the ABV there are better options.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours golden with a medium white head. Aroma is smoky with fruity notes. Flavor is quite smoky at first dissipating to sweet fruity notes with woody and almost meaty notes coming through along with some light hops. Light to medium body with medium carbonation. Really good with a lot of flavor.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(bottle - 22 oz) Hazy orange with a fizzy head. Lightly dry hops and a good amount of smoke in the aroma. Flavor begins with smoke and salted meat notes before giving way to a very light and dry saison and champagne like middle and a lingering smoke hint on the aftertaste.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
This poured a very cloudy yellowish orange color with a white. Looks almost like a glass of fruit juice. If you didn’t know the style or description of the beer the aroma would take you off guard. Quite a bit of smoke like meat cooking over some burning wood on a campground. A hint of citrus in there. The flavor is very smokey with a bit of smoked bacon and ham showing up. I think this leaves grill marks on your tongue. There is also a also a yeasty belgian citrus aspect going on in the background. Overall a very interesting and big beer.
