Bottle thanks to cocoapuph! Pours inky black, small dark brown creamy head with good retention and lacing. Aroma is rich mocha chocolate, bourbon, vanilla. Flavor follows, light plus sweet, quite bitter, mocha mocha mocha, lots of well integrated bourbon, vanilla and a touch of coconut. Medium plus body, pretty hot, which might be the only distractor.

(500ml bottle) jet black, creamy tan head with excellent lacing. Nose of light espresso that’s faded, bourbon, vanilla, milk chocolate, and a touch of dark chocolate. Taste of milk chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, roasty chocolate malt, creamy, body is nearly perfect.

I bought the beer because of the good things I had been hearing about it. When I got home and tried it I was not impressed of the $27 dollars that I paid for it. It had a kind if winey taste to it that I did not expect and it was kind of flat on the pore. Over all did not live up to expectations!!!

Bottle shared @ Dangerous Bottleshare 10th Anniversary thanks to Bursprak! Pours pitch black with a medium offwhite head. Aromas of bourbon, dark chocolate, fudge, fruity coffee, light coconut, dry woody notes. Taste has a lot of bourbon, dark chocolate, fudge, savory notes, dry wood, licorice, light heat, lots of dry coffee in the finish. Liked this a lot more than the normal bourbon version!

Bottle shared @ dangerous bottleshare 10’th anniversary. Thanks to Bursprak ! Pours black with a brown head. Aroma of nice vanilla, coffee, dark chocolate, weak roasted malts, caramel, dark sweet fruits and a nice bourbon quality. The taste has nice coffee/espresso type of notes along with liquorice, sweeter bourbon, slight heat, savory, dry wood, roasted malts leading to a dry end. Slightly better than the original Bourbon imperial russian stout.

murky sepia, thin oily cream ring. Light bourbon and wood nose, hot with high green acidity. Front palate is sweet, sugary, light chocolate and roast into the thin mid, finish dying with faint cardboard. Hot throughout, thin and gritty.

A tasty bonus sent to me by PeteinSD. Deep black pour with a mocha brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, bourbon and vanilla. Taste is creamy smooth, roasted malt, a touch of bourbon and vanilla and oaky dryness. Simply, its just a damn tasty beer from start to finish. Alcohol well hidden by the plethora of flavors.
