On tap at Sunset Grill, dark caramel colored body with a pure white head. This beer smelled and tasted like sweet fresh cut cherries with sugar sprinkled on top. I swear I almost smelled Pez candy. The malts are sticky and have notes of candied sugar and loads of alcohol soaks in on each side of your tongue and deep in the cheeks. Its like a bitter alcohol soak. Very bitter dry aftertaste.

From a growler shared by bdburdman, thanks Brian!! Pours a dark ruby color with a beige colored head. Aroma is citrus, light vineous notes, caramel, brown sugar. flavor is caramel, ripe dark fruit, alcohol, light red wine characteristics. Palate is full bodied, mild carbonation, finished somewhat sweet, then bitter. Awesome stuff.

Growler shared by bdburdman. thanks Brian! Deep copper pour with an off white head. Aroma of coconut, biscuit malt, earthy hops, light citrus, brown sugar...a bit of must. Flavors of caramel malt, earthy dark fruits, grapefruit, light tannins. Thick body, bittersweet, bready, sticky, malty, with a bitter/malty finish. Tasty stuff.

Big thanks to the one and only Pantanap. Cloudy orange-red with small beige head. Grapey, citrus aroma with some alc, sweeter malt. Flavor is sweeter malt again with medium hop presence, citrus, slight wininess, red fruit finish with alc and hop bitterness, some vanilla. Medium to thin with watery body. A lot of flavors thrown together without any strict coheriency.

Rating #500. Growler shared by bgburdman9. Semi-opaque amber color with a big tan head. Malty and grainy aroma with plenty of hop, some red wine and a touch of oak. Boozy and malty flavor up front with hops in the finish. Outstanding. B-wine isnít my favorite style, but I really like how the red wine aging and hops dumbed down the sweetness in this one.

On-tap at Stone during the Pilot Fest. Pours dark amber with a moderate size white head, good lace. Smells malty and hoppy, slight spice, slight wood. Tastes like Old Guardian with a slight hint of wood and a touch of red wine. Hoppy, very hoppy. Slightly sweet and hot. Full syrupy body with good carbonation.

1L growler. The barrel is fairly muted and definitely takes a backseat on the nose. Malt heavy aroma. Vanilla, dark fruits, lighter hop profile. Maybe a bit of dry barrel tannin as the beer warms. The alcohol is present but is far from assertive. Caramel and toffee but with a bit of spice as well. Pours dark, rusty, copper with a thick and lasting slightly off-white head. Flavor is quite dry despite all the malt presence on the nose. Vanilla extract, caramel, dried fruits and wood... lots and lots of dry wood tannin. I canít say that itís red wine, per se, but the wood presence is huge and most definitely not spirit based. Iíd like to see more assertive wine presence... Leaning toward full bodied. Creamy carbonation. Dry all over the tongue with a slightly tannic finish. Truth be told... at first I didnít like this one at all, but as it opened and warmed, it became much, much better. Nice. Thanks Jonathan!

On tap at stone. orange color. Suprizingly hoppy and boozy. Underbarrels. No oxidation. Maybe Iím not a fan of red win barrels. Not as good as I hoped.

1 L from my boy KAN! pours hazy red with off white head. nose of vanilla, red wine, alcohol. flavors of vanilla, alcohol, toffee, red fruit, touch winey. rather mellow and muted beer where nothing stands out, drinkable for sure but imo, under barrel aged.

1 liter growler from my boy chintawat out in sd..... pours a hazy apricot brown with a thin film of soapy white head..... aroma caramel/toffee malt and some light tart fruits emerge as the beer warms...... flavors are smooth chewy caramels and a light tart fruitiness along with a lingering bitterness in the finish. nice smooth mouthfeel goind down with light carbonation.
