2013 bomber at 11.6% abv. Pours a deep amber with a soapy off-white head. Aromas of dark fruit, spices and alcohol Flavor is filled with overripe fruit and some toffee malts it seems, but the bitterness takes full effect in this one. Alcohol is not well hidden so points will get docked for that, but still a decently made barley wine, considering these beers seem to always be solid on the realm of complexity.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Creamy white head, amber body. Smells of dark bread, yeast, spices, soy beans. Tastes very hoppy, roasted malt, salt and sweet, with a bitter finish.

2013 vintage 650ml bottle. Pours dark orange with a dense head and solid lacing. Big caramel and marmalade nose, heather honey, spice and dank hops. Everything translates from nose to palate, a joy to drink wish I had more.

UPDATED: JUL 23, 2015 Good, strong, bittersweet beer. A touch of alcohol in the finish -- I think that both this and IRS are at their best after at least a year of aging.

Deep amber color with a fine tan head. Good lacing. Lots of dried fruits. Full body and an ok carbonation. Not to sweet really. Quite balanced. Complex and tasty stuff. Dried fruits, toffee, citric and some pine. Solid stuff.

This was five years old so more mellow than what the norm would be. Tasty and enjoyable. My preferred style of beer but not the highest rated. Definitely worth the taste. Overall pleasant experience.

22 oz. bottle notes, had on draft and bottled many times combined notes. Pours a clear amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet caramel, some dark fruit notes, resiny and citrus hop character, fresh this has a decent hop profile, tobacco, berries, dry, another solid American barley wine, the alcohol remains well integrated into the beer, solid example of the style.

Red colored, bit hazy, moderate strong off white head, good lacing. Aroma is quite sweet, caramel, candy-fruity, some alcohol. Taste is very sweet caramel, candy sugar, dark fruits, toffee, some alcohol but low on heat, some herbal hoppiness, moderate- bitter. Full bodied, moderate- carbonation, syrupy.
