3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Deep amber color; small but persistent head. Malty nose, and sweet caramel. Medium thickness, quite oily mouthfeel; round; malty, but with more caramel than other examples; the alcohol is too warming; some hop resins. At the end the bitterness is well blended with the malt. Solid and well brewed, without thrills.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, 22oxz. An almost clear one, copper in color and with a minimal sized off-white to beige head. Caramel, dried fruits, alcohol and some fluor on the nose, rather hoppy, still balanced. Flavorwise it’s pretty much the same, alcohol, caramel, dried fruits and sweetness. Warming and full-bodied. The finish has a nice bitterness, some notes of fluor and a certain malty sweetness. A delicious beer indeed, although a bit sweet. 110722

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle and tap at The Rake Stone Tasting 09. Reddish amber in colour. Hoppy sweetish aroma.. Good sweetness in mouth, so kinda good balanced hop on end. But hops balance the sweetness well. Some heat from the alcohol. Better on tap, smoother even though heat is there. But hops and biscuit malt work really well. Lovely.

Dark amber color, small white head. Rye malty, alcoholic aroma. Malty, ryeish, alcoholic - American hops are there. Boring, yet another strong American beer.

Nice. Big. Bold. What do you want? I had some on tap at Rattle n Hum in NYC. Pours an opaque brown/orange with a lingering head. Complex nose of fruits and sweet candies. Flavor is nice blend of sweetness, maltiness and slight bitterness. Highly complex with myriad sensations. Give it a whirl.
