3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Limited winter 2005 release! Perfect mahogany color with almost no head. Sharp fruity/alcohol aroma. Smoothness. The aroma pervades into the taste, but not nearly as sharp as the smell. The taste is like raisins or other darker fruits with an alcoholic edge (but in a smooth way). I think it would taste better if aged for a year or two.

(Bottle 65 cl) Vintage 2005 - 11,26% ABV in this version. Beautiful deep amber, small off-white head. Pronounced alcoholic nose. Sweet caramel, very spicy with a pronounced bitterness - if not exactly suffocating. 170705

Sheez, gotta say thatmthe fruit and hops here could have used a year or two of aging.Still,I liked the hoppiness thru’ all the rawness.I have a few to age.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
I hate this style but this was a very good representation. Aroma of strong malt, Vick’s Vapo-Rub and alcohol. Pour was a murky light brown with no head. Taste was very thick and hot. Mostly strong caramel malt with a little hops aftertaste. Good as far as this style goes but way too big and way too much.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
2006 vintage. Pours a light ruby brown in color. Smell is hops, alcohol and some malt. The hops are still shining through in the taste even after more than a year in the cellar. Nice huge mouthfeel. This one will definitely hurt you at over 11%. A decent warmer on a cold winters night.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours copper with dense moderate beige head, lacing. Aroma is sticky toffee malt, mild fruity hops - pineapple, passion fruit, strawberry - grain spirits. Flavor is grainy sweetness, mild fruitiness, vanilla, heavy alcohol burn, resiny hops. Prickly alcohol and light lingering bitterness in the finish. Palate is thick, mildly oily, with lots of alcohol notes. Powerful stuff, alcohol flavor is prominent.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a dark brown, much like an IPA, small bubbles, cloudy, nice hop flavor, warming aftertaste, tastes like an IPA but not as strong, the alcohol is well hidden.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
strong hop and malt aroma. reddish brown color with medium off white head. Flavor is more well balanced than some of stones other BW offerings. Overall, a solid BW which retains some of the stone roughness/harshness.
