Strykzone (1334), Wood River, Illinois, USA Jul 4, 2009 Bottle in Virginia. Stone keeps making these great well hopped beers. Pour is caramel with a nice tan head. It reminds me of the Levitation Ale I recently enjoyed. Well hopped and well balanced. Grapefruit and pine hops. A nice caramel backbone. Very smooth in the mouth helped by the head that lasts so long. An excellent Pale Ale. jonno (357), Japan Jul 2, 2009 A well made PA with the stone hops. Quite malty and reasonable body. Quite expensive here in Japan, so not something I can pick up regurarly. Will stick to their big boys. twistedviews (19), California, USA Jun 29, 2009 a little over average microbrew. a little strong taste but goes down smooth. worth its price, too. DeadGirl (48), New York, New York, USA Jun 28, 2009 On tap at RNH (NYC): Aroma of orange and lemon peel, tastes of fruits, wheat, and definitely hops. Very smooth finish. Drinkable and summer-y. Less watery than others in its class. savnac (184), Palmer, Alaska, USA Jun 26, 2009 12 oz bottle. Amber/orange with an off white head that has hints of orange and leaves a little bit of lacing. Floral, spicy and lemon citrus hop aroma with a light hint of caramel and cereal. Sweet taste with a light bitterness. Medium body with a creamy mouth feel, average carbonation and a long finish. This is a great Pale Ale, the hops are more there for flavor and aroma like a good Pale should be. dalek123 (35), Houston, Texas, USA Jun 24, 2009 Pours reddish gold. Offwhite, fluffy, long lasting head. Balanced malt and hop taste makes smooth drinking. Pronounced character. Wonderful stuff. baraciisch (131), USA Jun 24, 2009 Orange brown in color...Subtle hops aroma... Slightly malty flavor with a nice spicy hops finish... Less watery than your average pale ale... Very nice and flavorful... Probably one of the best in its class.. PapaSkeetSkeet (36), , Massachusetts, USA Jun 21, 2009 pours a pleasant golden amber with slight off white head, fair lacing. smells of refreshing hops with a bit of darker malt. The malt really comes through in the flavor; I was surprisingly delighted. Unlike many american pale ales which don’t have the malt to balance those distinctive american hops, this one does. Absolutely delightful. A bit sweet in the middle with a pulsing fade out. mmmm.
