3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 mcmisko (125) - - FEB 6, 2012
Pours a cloudy amber with a two finger white head, lots of lacing. Smells like hops, caramel, and orange blossoms. Has a real wild flower honey sweetness, with some citrus and lots of hops. This has a very thick mouth feel, which I like a lot, and the after taste lingers on the tongue with a honey like texture. Loads of hops give this a dry clean finish, but it is not extremely hoppy, but balanced with a complex sweetness. This is one of my favorite Pale Ales to date.

Copper pour with a nice head. Sweet smell of fruit and pine. Nice hoppy, piney bitterness that is balanced nicely with the malt flavor. A very drinkable pale ale but I wasn’t as blown away with it as I thought I would be.

Bottle from Chester Beer & Wine. Dark orange pour with a middling yet persistent tan head. Fragrant nose of fruits, sweet malt and piney hop. Fullish mouthfeel. Flavour wise, the caramel malt, hop balance tilted slightly in flavour of the malts, but still retained some reserved but decent grassy hop bitterness and some pleasant fruitiness. Overall this is a solid if unspectacular brew.

(Drought) Pours deep amber red witha creamy off-white head. The aroma holds strawberry jam up front with undertones of mild citrus, light wood and robust toasted, light caramelly malt. The mouthfeel is light sweet to dry, medium bitter and tiny acidic. Citric, floral, light fruity, bready, toasted and a whisper of dry caramel. The mouthfeel clean and a bit round with a light to medium carbonation. Mild resinous, earthy and citric finish. Near medium bodied.
