A hazy amber beer with an OK head. The aroma is hoppy sweet and the flavor is dry malty with notes of aroma hops and caramel.

Bottle, at the Freakin Frog. Ok nose, caramel, citrus, floral. Clean reddish copper color. Small to no head. Bitter sweet flavors, same as aroma, but more pronounced. Thinner body, little creaminess. Bitter dryish finish. Tasty pale ale. Traditional though. Nice to try since it doesnít make it to Boston.

Stone Pale Ale poured a dark dingy orange with a modest white head that laced up well throughout the session. Beautiful color!
Faint fruits in the aroma, slight caramel and a lot of citrus flavors in the nose. This really doesnít smell that well to be honest.
Lovely flavor! Really drinkable and a great session beer for sure. Starts pretty sweet with some tropical fruit flavors. Caramel comes out in the mid-palate. Sharp hops on the finish, slightly bitter but very pleasant. The most moderate beer Stone offers. Very mild and a good "warm up" to the rest of their beers.

A great pale ale, I like Ruination better, but this is great too! I bit hoppy, but not too much. Very nice balanced flavor

No the greatest from Stone but still a nice session ale. Copper colored with a large white head. Aroma is soapy and malty. The flavor is slightly hoppy but bent quite malty for the style. It has a strong caramel presence as well. I will enjoy this brew despite my house being washed away in a flood!

Has a dark amber/copper color, with a thick head. Aroma was hoppy and citrusy, very nice. Taste was also hoppy but well balanced and very smooth. Very nice once again by Stone.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Dense, murky, dark orange color...a thick, creamy head...
Nose is fruity, and floral, vibrant and sweet, hops are nice, mellow, and very attractive, without standing out too much. Perfectly mild pale ale aroma. Zesty and citric, nice and fresh.
Taste...very nice. All those flavors found in the nose return on the palate. A certain spiciness sticks it out right next to the easy-going fruitiness, and, if youíll allow me, Iím reminded of a barleywine flavor, but without the alcohol. Mellow and tasty, light to medium in body, pleasant finish. Extraordinarily drinkable and smooth, but never skimping on taste!
What an appealing pale ale, Iím glad that Stone has such a friendly offering to appeal to those who arenít always aching for an abundance of hops and challenging flavors, something to keep the taps flowing and the coffers filled, allowing them to make those bad bastards we all love!
