COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Deep amber in color, Stone Pale Ale is robust and full flavored. A delicate hop aroma is complemented by a rich maltiness.

No the greatest from Stone but still a nice session ale. Copper colored with a large white head. Aroma is soapy and malty. The flavor is slightly hoppy but bent quite malty for the style. It has a strong caramel presence as well. I will enjoy this brew despite my house being washed away in a flood!

Has a dark amber/copper color, with a thick head. Aroma was hoppy and citrusy, very nice. Taste was also hoppy but well balanced and very smooth. Very nice once again by Stone.

Dense, murky, dark orange color...a thick, creamy head... Nose is fruity, and floral, vibrant and sweet, hops are nice, mellow, and very attractive, without standing out too much. Perfectly mild pale ale aroma. Zesty and citric, nice and fresh. Taste...very nice. All those flavors found in the nose return on the palate. A certain spiciness sticks it out right next to the easy-going fruitiness, and, if you’ll allow me, I’m reminded of a barleywine flavor, but without the alcohol. Mellow and tasty, light to medium in body, pleasant finish. Extraordinarily drinkable and smooth, but never skimping on taste! What an appealing pale ale, I’m glad that Stone has such a friendly offering to appeal to those who aren’t always aching for an abundance of hops and challenging flavors, something to keep the taps flowing and the coffers filled, allowing them to make those bad bastards we all love!

Copper coloured. Medium carbonation helps to create an average sized head that leaves delicate lacing. Fresh, robust hop aroma and flavor that is lightly floral. Strong malty backbone helps to create a classic example of a California Pale Ale.

UPDATED: JAN 10, 2012 Oranges and peaches through apple pie and caramel…Pine cones and citrus fruit float within a soft, luxurious mouthfeel...A fluffy head of foam laces all around the misty pale amber...A resinous hop bitterness claims the finish; this more intense than a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, for example…A hugely satisfying Pale Ale every way I look at it...

This is a wonderful beer. Hops and malt seem to balance beautifully together. Bold and rich flavors. This is one of my favorite beers.

Pours a nice orangey-amber color with a medium creamy eggshell white head. Aroma is nicely earthy with an herbal and fruity hop character. Very well balanced, a nice melanoidiny malt presence is clean and well defined without being thick, hop flavors are herbal grassy without being especially distinct. Finish is balanced with a modicum of lingering bitterness.

UPDATED: MAY 4, 2007 Nice dark copper reddish color. Nice fruity aroma. Good hop flavor. Well balanced from start to finish. APA with true quality brewing.
