COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Deep amber in color, Stone Pale Ale is robust and full flavored. A delicate hop aroma is complemented by a rich maltiness.

This is a wonderful beer. Hops and malt seem to balance beautifully together. Bold and rich flavors. This is one of my favorite beers.

Pours a nice orangey-amber color with a medium creamy eggshell white head. Aroma is nicely earthy with an herbal and fruity hop character. Very well balanced, a nice melanoidiny malt presence is clean and well defined without being thick, hop flavors are herbal grassy without being especially distinct. Finish is balanced with a modicum of lingering bitterness.

nice amber hue, w/a white head, amora is sweet & malty. starts off a bit sweet, some hints of caramel a well, but ends w/dry bitterness. good balance...a good pale ale from stone.

Poured a reddish amber color with a small and rather quickly diminishing off white head and very little lacing. Sweet malt and spicy citrus hop aroma. Very nicely balanced. Very smooth malt, dried fruits, also some tropical fruits and an awesome hoppy bite. Above average mouthfeel, I like it alot. Thanks Marc.

Aroma is of toasty malt and citrusy hops. Flavor is the same as the aroma. Nice beer, the toasted maltyness makes it stand out slightly from the standard line of American Pales.

12oz bottle Certainly darker than the IPA, amber good head, more malt accented as well...malty, pubby ale. Hops provide a good dose of spice. After ArroBas, I thought all Stones would just be hopmonsters, but I was wrong. Pretty big pale ale, but a nice balance of flavors. One of the best of the category Ive had so far.

Small offwhite head, fair retention and lace. Clear amber color. Surprisingly malty brew, nose and flavor. The hops are there but play second fiddle to the malts. Dry crystal malt flavor, light toastiness. Finish is dry with a clean malt flavor. Nice pale ale. Touch more hops please!?

Aroma bowls you over when you first open it - cat urine comes to mind - but I remind myself that you cant pour perfume into a beer to make it smell good - the aroma is just a byproduct of the process. Mellows to a light fruitiness, nectarines or plums perhaps. Dark copper appearance, decent sized off-white head with clumpy lacing. Overall excellent fruity citrusy flavor with some strong hoppy accents. A little bit of nuttiness rounds it off nicely.Good thick mouthfeel. Well balanced to say the least. Would be good for everyday drinking if they would make thier way into Florida.

OK, I had to take my time in rating the aroma on this one. When you first crack it, there are some definite off aromas -- like peaches and wet cat. Later it fades into a more familiar hop and malt deal. Nice bronze color. Tart, identifiably peachy, medium to medium-heavy hopping, light sweetness, toffee. Bitterness and twang on the backend. A quality brew, but Im tired of APAs.
