Deep amber in color, Stone Pale Ale is robust and full flavored. A delicate hop aroma is complemented by a rich maltiness.

Best pale ale I’ve had. Great rich amber color, with a thick rocky head. A sweet malty taste with hints of honey or caramel. Strong hop finish that lingers. Great compliment to a fish taco. Will drink again.

Ah, Stone Pale Ale. Pours with a deep amber color and a large rocky white head. Smells of orange marmalade, lemon zest, molasses and resin. Flavors of blood orange and other citrus fruits, with a good earthy bottom note of carmaelized brown sugar. Finishes with a slight sour tinge, something that seems pretty common in American Pale.

Poured a amber red color with a medium sized head. Nice citrus and pine hop aroma with a touch of malt. Flavor follows suit with a nice hoppy flavor and just enough sweetness to balance it out. This is a great session Pale Ale. Thanks DarkElf

UPDATED: SEP 11, 2008 Good standard offering from Stone. Great when you want a break from the bracing bitterness of their specialty ales but don’t want to give up the hops character you love. Really excellent.

A beautiful "Red" color with a big creamy tan head. Crystal malts and mild floral hopping. A mild hoppy front with a sugary middle a bitter finish and a lingering aftertaste. Well balanced and a good session beer but not on par with Stone’s other offerings.

Gold body, thinnish champagne head. Buttery malt nose. Reminds me of a homebrew I made (NT IPA) Sweet medium roasted malt. No killer hops here just a well balanced beer from Stone! Please start sending this out East. (Buffalo in particlar!)

Copper in color, white head. Smells of hops - but not strong. Smells and tastes kind of nutty too. Hops are piney and grapefruity. Body is thick - full mouthfeel. While it tastes great, crisp and clean; it feels th ick and coats the mouth. A great pale. More daring than some pales I’ve tasted.

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2005 This APA pours a full but transparent ruby with an excellent offwhite head. The nose is a very pleasant pineapple fruitiness. The tastes consist of a bit of a caramel maltiness and definite pineapple/citrus hops. This is a superb example of this style. Forgive me my vague description; it is more complex than I can describe.

This beer poured a medium brown w/ golden orange highlights; slight head and medium lacing. The aroma was citrusy w/ slight malty sweetness, light fruit, and a hint of caramel. The flavor was grapefruity w/ hints of pine, malt, and light fruit. The mouthfeel was light and carbonated.
