Jan 8, 2009 Poured reddish brown with a thick, 2 finger, tan foamy head.
nose contained burnt malt, lots of hops, and grapefruit.
the taste is well balanced between roasted nut malts and hops, with less citrus than there was in the nose.
It’s a little sharp on the palate, but I think it might just be a little too cold for the style. Next time, I’ll let it sit out for 5 minutes before I serve it.
Overall, very impressive. Not as good as the FFF alpha king or nimbus pale ale, but it’s a damn good ale!

Jan 8, 2009 Pours a clear golden/amber color, some carbonation, nice creamy tan head which sticks around, tons of lacing afterwards. Scents of hops, malts, and citrus. Taste of bitter hops, and malts. There is a nice dry sweetness aftertaste. Medium body. Very drinkable. Another strong offering from Stone.

Jan 4, 2009 Another score from Stone at Total Wine. I have one more from this brewer to try. Pours decent light brown, orange, with amber highlights. Nice burnt malts and pine like hop flavour. Pretty clean for infusing some roasted textures. Finish with a earthy-citrus note. Nice nice.

Dec 30, 2008 Bottle. Pours a nice amber color with a medium, white head. Lacing is extremely excellent. Aromas of hops, citrus, and a touch of malts. Creamy start with an oily finish, fantastic throughout. Tastes of hops with more hops.

Dec 30, 2008 Pours a nice amber color with a decent creamy head. Aroma of hops, malt, pine and citrus. Taste of hops is pretty strong (like all Stone brews) along with orange, grapefruit, and pine. Nice finish with perfect carbonation. Another solid brew by Stone Brewing.

Dec 28, 2008 more of an ipa than a pale ale which is why it scores so high with me. hops and malt are both in plenty. aroma is sweet and finishs with lots of hops.
