The aroma is malty with caramel, cereal, and citrus hops. The appearance is amber with a foamy head. The flavor is bitter but balanced with caramel. The palate is smooth but not thick. Overall its a good session beer without being a tremendous beer.

First time I have seen this in Oregon. As a big fan of Pale Ales I had to try this one. Pours full amber with a modest off white head. Minimal lacings. Aroma is quite bold caramel and floral hops. This is a restrained PA from a company best known for their big hop beers. Actually I think the hops seem less bold because of the large amount of tasty malts in this brew. Anyway I appreciate the balance of this beer. Thanks Stone for making a well rounded very drinkable APA. I just wish the price was closer to Deschutes Mirror Pond. Ah well there is shipping and distance to big added. I live about 120 miles from Bend and more like 1000 miles to Escondido. The town which was the butt of Fred Sanfords jokes on many occassions.

draft at redlight redlight. Mild hop nose with hints of pine and traces of citrus hops. Pours a golden amber with a thin white head that dissipates. Nice hops flavor, floral piney notes with a dry bitterness, with a nutty caramel malt presence. Very balanced but assertive pale ale. A good session beer.

bottle from G&G. pours a dark, cloudy amber with a short, off white head. aroma is excellent scents of fresh hops, orange, peach, grapefruit, and candied sugar. flavor is what you expect from stone. well balanced, hoppy up front with flavors of citrus and toasted/nutty malt. solid bitter aftertaste, with a smooth mouthfeel and good carbonation. honestly, a great American Pale. like i expected anything less from Stone?!

Bottle... Pours a nice, solid iced tea brown with a malted peach/strawberry and a hint of grapefruit. Flavor is malty stoned grapefruit that starts subtle but asserts itself nicely in the end. Average mouthfeel. Great brew.

Bottle: A very good session beer, flavorful, aromatic, well balanced herbal but light. Low AVB. Another great Stone.

Pours medium amber with a smallish off white head. Aroma is sweet and malty but also of citrusy hop. Taste is nice and malty as well, with a big bitter hop finish. Very good stuff.
