Bottle from Lithy. Amber color. Soft but pleasant aroma of malt, flowers, grapefruit and red berries. Well hopped beer, flowery with red berries and citrusfruit. Fruity, slightly earthy hopbitter aftertaste. Well balanced session beer.

Nose of hops and sweet sticky malts. Flavor is of the same. Nice flavor, good hop bite to it, but not overdone. Well balanced and not too heavy for what it is. Caramel maltiness in the background, not too sticky. I like the fellows at stone, and this is damn good.

Murky copper; thin head. Bready aroma. Light bready flavor, medium body, soft carbonation. Hint of meaty sweetness. High drinkability. Reserved hopping. Being just this side of tasting metallic suggests it is best drunk fresh.

Very good Pale Ale. This has a nice hop taste but is wonderfully balanced with the malts. Very drinkable.

Deep coppery orange-red color with a finger of quickly receding eggshell head. Much darker than I expected. Aroma is floral hops and caramel maltiness. Body is mostly cool malt and just enough hops to balance. Seems more of an amber ale than an APA. Still good, but SNPA is king here. 6/3/7/4/15:3.5 Re-rate: Semi-clouded amber red pour with a thin layer of off-white head that disappears quickly. Light caramel malt aroma, some floral hops. Body is nice caramel sweetness, smooth and weighted body then a light floral and herbal hop finish. 6/3/7/3/14:3.3

bottle. Stone is finally in GA!!! I have had many of their beers before, but am so amped that they are within an arm’s reach now. This has to be one of the best APA’s available on the market.... simply wonderful. pours a deep amber/copper with a good sized white head. You can smell the hops as you pour it... Stone never lets you down in that dept. very pleasant hop aroma with some citrus and bread notes. very full body with the hops up front and very smooth over the top and sides. solid bitter finish for an APA. solid session beer.... one of my new favorites for middle of the day drinking.

Bright clear amber pour with generous off-white head and nice lacing. I really like this beer, and I’m not a huge lover of pale ales. Pine wood, a bit of earthy dust, and some toffee on the nose, with more of a hint of hops than a full noseful. Some biscuit, grain and fruit in the mouth and a touch of sweetness. Also nice floral hints. Very malty for a pale ale, I think. Very satisfying. My new session beer...

Dark golden pour. Good hop aroma, pine, some citrus. Lively mouthfeel. Nice maltiness for a pale, mellowing the hops nicely. A little biscuit and citrus. This was a real nice example of the style. I think many brewers forget they are not making and IPA when they brew their standard pales. Have not been disappointed yet with any Stone brews thus far, plus the bottles give you something to read.
