Pours a red orange clear with minimal head and lacing. Aroma is citrus hops, caramel malts and lemon. Flavor is bittersweet. Palate is crisp, clean and refreshing. Overall, solid beer, easy drinker.

12 oz Bottle -- Pours reddish-amber with a thick off-white head. Lots of grassy and grain notes on the nose with good sweetness. A little caramel is also present and maybe a hint of pear. Dry finish.

RnH: pint: Embarassed to say I intended this brew to be a palate cleanser during a tasting session... great surprise! A darker, more rich pour than expected, deep amber, leaving about .5 finger of off-white head. The nose was more bitter than expected, medium sweaty hops... also some light citrus/ sour notes. Taste also has a similar balance, higher hop content than I expected from the style (nice surprise again), offset with the citrus and sugars. Easily sessionable brew, very satisfying.

Bright and hoppy, with a smooth, deep malt finish. Light caramel in color, with clean white head. Moderately carbonated, not too overpowering. One of my favorite pale ales, as it is incredibly well balanced.

I had this in the bottle. It has a white head and looks like a light brown with a little carbonation. Tastes bitter with malty after-taste.

Hazy golden with some orange hue. Thinning white head. Citrus pine aroma. Dry pine hope flavor. Well balanced IPA.

(Draught at Capital Pub in Dallas) The name belies the color, dark amber, 1 finger head that recedes to bubbles in 2-3 minutes, and lacing is just ok. Citrus hoppy smells, grapefruit perhaps, nice mellow malts, maybe even orange peel oil. Nicely balanced hops with the malt, no lingering bitterness. Citrus is present but not as much as in the smell. Slightly under-carbonated but creamy and a little watery on the finish.Very drinkable and smooth pale ale.

All around pleasant beer. Doesn’t stand out but a well done example of the style. Crisp finish.
