Very flavorful and enjoyable. This would be a great quaffer if I had regular access to it! JorisPPattyn (5163), Antwerpen, Belgium
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 22, 2008 Cask Hallertau hopped Very good, dense yellow head over hazy dark amber beer. Very hopped, yet refined: obvious Hallertau. Slightly bitter but very hoppy, flowery and a bit of caramel. A bit cheesy. Medium bodied, ends sticky. Very good, if rather un-British cask ale. mansquito (821), Boston/Philadelphia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 21, 2008 This is a fine beer a nice frothy head and a body that looks like an amber ale... at least more so than an APA. Hoppy aroma and all that. Pretty classy taste, enough hops but the malts are impressive. Slightly sweet at some points. Really drinkable. chokmah33 (118), San Luis Obispo, California, USA

Easy going palate builds to a nice astringent finish.
Good pefume hops backbone. Sour apple flavor.
Syrup on pancakes, bisquity malts to balance it out. highibus (427), Mill Creek, Washington, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 17, 2008 Tap: Clear copper color with a small white head. Hoppy aromas run throughout. The flavor is well-balanced and is slightly more hoppalicious than most American pale ales. Tasty. If I had to drink a pale ale for the rest of my life and I could only choose three - this would be one of them. Another great brew from Stone.
