gpekar (221), Maryland, USA Feb 24, 2008 Poured a slightly cloudy/hazy orange/amber color, with a nice tall head. The head was nice and tall. There was a mild hops aroma and also a mild flavor. This was a nice beer. My opinion of this beer was probably not accurate after having several stronger, better tasting beers that this one couldn’t stand up to. This one paled in comparison :) Derek881 (489), Frederick, Maryland, USA Feb 22, 2008 Poured from the bottle into a pint glass. A deep orange-amber color with a slightly creamy, off-white head with decent retention. The aroma is mild, mostly some citrus hops and a bit of caramel malt. Taste is dominantly bitter, particularly upon the finish, with a touch of sourness. Full, dense body with a thick mouthfeel, and average carbonation. This beer seemed to grow on me as it went. efrumtheidiot (190), Maryland, USA Feb 19, 2008 Updated: Mar 7, 2008pours a slightly hazy ruby-amber with an off-white head. aroma is hoppy, citrusy, and a little floral. taste is light bitterness, nice rounded hops, very well balanced. has some citrus and pine notes. mid-full bodied with average carbonation. crisp, refreshing bitter finish. clean, lightly sudsy mouthfeel. yum! badass session brew. this was a really nice APA, will definitely buy again if i see it. DragonsHead (137), Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 17, 2008 Medium amber color with little hop aroma. Strong malt flavor with a nice hop balance. Finishes strong with a good aftertaste. joshsmith (5), Fall River, Massachusetts, USA does not count Feb 10, 2008 bottle from Cardoza’s. red/amber color with controlled, whispy head on pour. aroma overwhelmingly of caramel malts, with surprisingly few hops coming through for an american pale ale... i like the balance though. sweet caramel again coming through on the taste, but this time with bitter pine and citrus hops on finish. smooth, light to medium body, making this an excellent session beer. pforei (338), USA Feb 6, 2008 Amber with red ting. Moderate head. Light citrus and floral hop and toasty-caramel aroma. Taste has a little spicy hop to it. Gentle dry finish. blklab2007 (943), Connecticut, USA Feb 5, 2008 bottle bb. 11/17/07 so almost 3 months past that poured a red amber in color with slow but constant carbination producing a fine one finger head of white frothy foam. aroma seems well balanced consisting of caramel malt, good hops leaning towards spice, and some sugar sweetness mixed with earthy tones. mouth feel is a medium with lighter carbination and pleasant to sip. flavors are a good mix of hops and malt leaning towards th malt as it is tasted, has some sweetness but very complementary, and finishing with a slightly frothy malt and hop cocktail. very nice beer for the style. smashteroid (227), USA Feb 5, 2008 served cold from 22 oz. bottle. pours amber with a small, fading off-white head. good lacing. aroma is quite hoppy, but noticeably malty as well. a smooth, medium body and easy to consume, the beer is highlighted by the hop finish. bitter, but not overwhelming. a good pale ale.
