nramsburg (200), New York, New York, USA Nov 24, 2007 Tasty brew, nice copper color and almost herbal. Begins with a tinge of sweetness but evens out to a clean hoppy finish. Very smooth. Good american Pale Ale. exadore (92), Sacramento, California, USA Nov 23, 2007 Bottle. Poured a darker copper color with a finger high off white head. Smells floral and a little earthy. I’m surprised how tame this IPA is for a product of Stone Brewing. The hop flavor is there but isn’t overpowering, and finishes smooth. I like Ruination or their IPA better than this, but this is very drinkable. Also has a sweet smell to it. kseecs16 (865), Naperville, Illinois, USA Nov 20, 2007 Bottle. Poured copper orange with a big bubbly foamy head. Little lacing. Grassy hop aroma with a defined yeasty malt body. A bit sweet, malts evident with a mild hop finish, fairly plain tasting. A little watery with a nice lingering aftertaste. beachbum25 (778), Powellville, Maryland, USA Nov 18, 2007 12 oz bottle-Pours a clear copper color w/a small white head. Decent hop aroma. Nice subtle hop flavor up front, has a malt finish w/traces of caramel & dark fruit. Solid, easy drinking brew, doesn’t have that offensive bite some brewers seem to think they must put in a pale ale. Long, smooth malt finish. Nice brew. zethca (62), West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 14, 2007 Bottle. Clear amber color. Small white head with some lacing. Subdued malty aroma. suprising hop presence. A solid pale ale. BitchesBrew (710), Berkeley, California, USA Nov 14, 2007 [bottle] Clear red amber color, with a ring of white lacing around the glass. Malty, sweet aroma. Very clean malt flavors with a nice balance of bitterness. Not too over the top, or piney. Crisp, clean finish. jeremytoni (1069), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA Nov 14, 2007 From a bottle poured amber with a good amount of head. Nice hop flavor with some sweetness. Good finish. ajm (903), Los Angeles, California, USA Nov 11, 2007 Unless you’re stuck at a Yard House in East Nowhere, I don’t know why this would be your call (if you’re the type who pores over ratebeer ratings). It’s more of a starter beer - the one that gets your buddy to start drinking micro. Very clean, not hopped like an IPA. A good palette cleanser.
