Malty, sweet aroma. Very clean malt flavors with a nice balance of bitterness. Not too over the top, or piney. Crisp, clean finish. jeremytoni (1086), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 11, 2007 Unless you’re stuck at a Yard House in East Nowhere, I don’t know why this would be your call (if you’re the type who pores over ratebeer ratings). It’s more of a starter beer - the one that gets your buddy to start drinking micro. Very clean, not hopped like an IPA. A good palette cleanser. clasley (153), Arkansas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 11, 2007 355 ml bottle. Pours a nice clear amber with a dense off-white head. Modest piney nose with a malty background. Medium body with a sharp hop bite against a sold malt base. Nice lingering balance of malt and hops. ShawnMalloy (119), Auburn, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 9, 2007 An awesome pale ale with all the hops you’d expect from Stone. Pours darker than your average pale ale. Tasted a bit "green" to me. Grassy and lightly fruity. For me, it makes a decent chugger. Slipstream (746), USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 9, 2007 Amber brew with a modest head. Nicely blended flavor - tangy, peppery hops over moderately sweet grains. Low carbonation. Notes of fruit, smoke, and grapefruit. A rich, hoppy version of an English ale - is that what an American pale ale is supposed to be? And why is it called pale ale when it is not pale? Anyway, this is what I hoped my homebrew would taste like - but it didn’t. Stone is still a step ahead of me. Ughsmash (3999), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 2, 2007 Bomber thanks to Mr. Quiroga! Poured rather deep for a pale ale.. clear coppery-amber with a tall, well-retained, sticky cap of beige head. The aroma picked up semi-sweet darker caramel, crisp light fruits, and a dry, dusty yeast presence.. a little detergent right at the end. This was mighty tasty.. sweet caramel and light fruits at the core.. moderate pine, citrus, and fruity bitterness surrounded, and carried through the lightly warm finish. About medium-bodied with delightful balance.. sweet, tangy, and refreshing finish. Very good stuff! scoobysnak (249), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA
