beerbuzzmontreal (2909), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Oct 10, 2007 Pours an orange rust color with a medium offwhite head. Average aroma and flavor of fruity hops and malt. The body is light with a creamy texture and soft carbonation. This pale ale comes as a disapointment since I expect a beer with more character from Stone. EricDanger (23), USA Oct 10, 2007 A good all-around American pale. Not too overwhelming like some of Stone’s stuff. Nice balance of spicy hops. Great in the bottle or on tap. DownsouthGav (602), Greater London, England Oct 9, 2007 Cask@ GBBF. Nose of hops, fruit and citrus. Pours a cloudy amber colour. Taste is light and fruity. Hops are fresh. A nice American pale ale. Carlus12 (361), London, Greater London, England Oct 7, 2007 Cask @ GBBF ’07. Dark amber colour with off-white head. Aroma is malt / hops. Taste is fruity / hops / malty. Pretty good PA, although not the best on offer. PsionSaint (51), Colorado, USA Oct 6, 2007 Very good pale ale with balanced hops and flavorful malts. Darker color than some pale ales. This is one of my standard beers that I always try to have in the fridge. DubC5000 (195), San Diego, California, USA Oct 6, 2007 Darker and a bit cloudier than most pales, this one had an aroma of spicy hop, cloves, and alcohol, while a strong light-roast malt character pervaded the taste. On tap at UCSD Bear Garden. Cryotek (206), Pawtucket, Rhode Island, USA Oct 4, 2007 mild, not overwhelming pale ale. slight hoppy notes, balanced with a little sweetness. Easy to drink, a very good beer for this style which is not one of my favorites. StompBrockmore (300), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 2, 2007 12oz. bottle - pours auburn/orange with a fluffy white head that left a tonne of lacing coating the entire glass. Really nice. Soft, delicate aroma of hops against a kind of nutty malt background. Flavour starts with a nice hit of citrusy hops, then quickly switches to a pleasant, rich malt flavour, slightly fruity, that blends perfectly toward a lightly bitter finish. Very good.
