I’m generally a big fan of Stone Brewing, but this one just didn’t measure up to what I expect from them. Poured a dark orange. Moderately hopped nose. Flavor was hops, mild for an APA, with a tough of smokiness in the finish. A good beer, but it lacked in terms of depth and character.

12oz. Dark orange, hazy pour. Decent bitter fruit aroma. In the mouth the malt is really what struck me most about this one. Loads of complexity featuring mostly caramel and some doughy/yeasty/cakey goodness. Little bit of pine on the finish rounds this one out well. Very tame for Stone.

22oz. amber pour with a white head.. aroma has a light pine scent with no heavy aroma. very crisp and easy to the palate with no heavy hop presence. The aftertaste has more of a kick but nothing too overbearing... Not great but good!

12oz bottle thanks to kmweaver for this extra. pours amber with creamy white head. nose is doughy malt and some citrus and peppery hop notes. flavor is malty at times almost harsh, lacks much of a hop presence otherthan a crisp finish. just decent stuff.

Orange color pour with some head. Hops in the aroma and good in the flavor, without being overpowering. Some carbonation that added a crisp note to the mix. Hoppy aftertaste.

Pours an orange rust color with a medium offwhite head. Average aroma and flavor of fruity hops and malt. The body is light with a creamy texture and soft carbonation. This pale ale comes as a disapointment since I expect a beer with more character from Stone.

A good all-around American pale. Not too overwhelming like some of Stone’s stuff. Nice balance of spicy hops. Great in the bottle or on tap.

Cask@ GBBF. Nose of hops, fruit and citrus. Pours a cloudy amber colour. Taste is light and fruity. Hops are fresh. A nice American pale ale.
