rayg1 (433), Ft. Mill, South Carolina, USA Sep 3, 2007 Pours out a light orange color with a fairly thick and bubbly head. Aroma is of light citrus and pine as the cascade hops make thier presence known. Taste is again more cascade, citrus, and evergreen. I will say this is a bit more bitter than Stone’s IPA. If I had to give the thumbs up to one or another it would have to be the IPA but this is still a good brew. beerbill (1919), Laurel, New York, USA Sep 3, 2007 On tap at the Ithaca Ale House, Ithaca, NY. Arrived at the table a lightly hazy reddish gold with a thin film for a head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt and hops. Flavor was again malt and hops with maybe a touch of citrus. Reminds me of a slightly scaled back version of their Arrogant Bastard. Lingering bitterness after the swallow. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 12/30/2006

JohnnyJ (1283), Carlsbad, California, USA Aug 31, 2007 Quite a nice pale ale. Pours a deep amber with thick white head. Aroma of hops, sweet caramel malts, citrus, some fruit and floral notes. Flavor is pretty coomplex for a pale ale. Again citrus and carmel... well balanced between malt and hops. beerczar69 (39), Pennsylvania, USA Aug 30, 2007 Had it on draft tonight and liked it.Nice dark amber color. You can taste the hops and the beer you can taste the citrus.Worth a try as it is another good one from Stone Brewery. Bradrcr (778), Renton, Washington, USA Aug 26, 2007 8/22/07 From the bottle. Aroma is malty sweetness forward with a citrus hop balance, some caramel, dried fruit and slight earthiness. Appearance is light copper with a medium off-white head. Flavor is sweet malt forward with a solid bitter balance, earthy, citrusy, slightly resiny and grassy. Mouthfeel is medium/low bodied with a medium carb texture. Overall, sweet for style, but with a good hop complexity. cheapdark (2011), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 26, 2007 On a tap at the Mad Mex in Robinson. Dark and interesting to the eye. Foamy creamy head. Some hops in the aroma, but not excessive. Really nice lacing, covers but you can see thru it like fine lingerie. Slight taste of grapefruit rinds within. Barely any carbonation. Not bad for an ale. Finish is hops, bitter and perhaps just a little sweet on the palate. ChristianScheffel (4431), Odense, Denmark Aug 26, 2007 Cask-GBBF. Golden with a small white head. Pine, grass and even some moss in the aroma. Dry with a herbal bitterness.
