georgekappus (296), Brookfield, Connecticut, USA Aug 24, 2007 Bottle. Pours a perfect amber with a nice 3/4 inch off white head. The aroma was peach and honey. The palate was somewhat thin to go along with the sweet and somewhat watery taste. I found this to be disappointing from Stone. f351c4v (404), Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 24, 2007 Pours an amber color with a nice white head. Earthy hop aroma. Light hop character, honey taste and sweet malts are noticable. Uneventful. oh6gdx (8801), Vasa, Finland Aug 24, 2007 Cask@GBBF2007. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity hops with honey, wood and slightlity tea-leafy. Flavour is quite hoppy only with grass coming in closer to the finish. TomDecapolis (3130), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 22, 2007 Pours a translucent golden amber with a medium creamy/lacing off white head. Aroma of caramel, tea, some citrus hops, and some other various fruits. Flavors of hops, caramel and lightly toasted malts and yeast. Some nuts. I prefer IPA’s but this one had a nice hop bitterness and flavor along with a decent malt backbone. troyc (1173), Lubbock, Texas, USA Aug 22, 2007 (Bottle) Pours a light amber color with a small, dense head. Fragrant, with a nice mesh of hops and malt. Very dry, with crisp hops that impart some citrus/pine notes. Well balanced. Great mouthfeel, with fine carbonation. An excellent session beer. leaparsons (4659), Leicester, Leicestershire, England Aug 17, 2007 Cask, GBBF 2007. Amber with small head. Aromas are toffee malts with brown sugar. warming, spicy and floral with tea and pear. Soft hops. Flavours are spicy, medicinal and dry with tea, melon and pine. Light in its malts. Dry on the finish. OK, if a bit thin bodied. fakepurseninja (773), Washington, USA Aug 16, 2007 Nice looking in the glass - huge, rounded mass of smooth malt dusted ever so slightly with a hopdust. Kind of a bread malt complex that is a little simple and lacks flavor but still manages to pull together the flowery hops. Again I emphasize the heavy malt backbone, it does not need to be deciphered by a cryptologist, it is pretty simple and plain bready malt, but it nails that role perfectly. Really nice drink. cgarvieuk (4159), Edinburgh, Scotland Aug 14, 2007 Cask at GBBF 2007 ... Nice copper colour ... fruity hop ... quite a high hop again ... very fruity hop ... lots of resins ... again same over hoppyness.
