Pours a dark copper with a two finger creamy light yellow head. The nose is sweet, malty, light piney earthy hops, floral, some corn/cardboard. The flavor is sweet, matly, crisp hoppy bite, corn/cardboard. The palate is full malty, crisp light bitterness.

clear amber under a large off-white head. spicy hop and malt aroma. flavors of a balanced pale ale with moderate hopping and nice bready malts. a bit of tea and spice. light-med bodied. a standard pa but nice.

At a tasting at Priscilla’s in Morehead City, NC. Poured a nice copper color with an off white head that reduced to a nice lace. Had a very nice mouthfeel, with the hop flavor just right, not over the top. Nice malt base. Very well balanced. Nice dry finish.

Welcome to NC Stone Brewing Co.! While pale ales are not my preferred beer of choice, I do have to admit as they go, this is a good one. The pour is a nice copper, with a decent white head. The nose is well balanced with hops, malt and even a hint of sugars. The taste is equally well balanced, refreshing and leaves a nice lemon aftertaste, but is not nearly as hopped as some of their other ales. Worth trying and is a winner for its style.

12 oz. Clear copper with a three-finger, lasting head. Lots of crunchy lace. Earthy root, wood, light citrus and spicy honey on the nose. Peppery-resin, oak and light lemon dominate some molasses and tea leaf flavors. Wood and leaf aftertaste. Light-medium body is smooth, hop-tingly and dry on the finish.

Wow, I can’t believe that Stone finally came to Georgia. For the rest of you who don’t know, in the South we have a very limiting beer distribution system. It’s FUBAR down here with this stuff. Anyway, I am going to remain very impartial to the fact that this has been anticipated for a long time. The beer looks pretty good decent translucent color. I saw another Stone beer that was too filtered. Anyway, the head is nice, it remains as a thin head for a while giving the beer a fairly decent appearance. The aroma is a bit on the mid/strong side. The hops are noticeable, but not as much as I think they should be. They seem to be a bit muted. The beer has a somewhat nice flavoring hop, not much on the bittering hop. The beer has a little malt flavor to help with the balance of hops and malts. The hops are too weak. The hop taste stays on your tongue for a small period of time. The flavor is nice. The palate is not thin, but definitely not thick. Overall, pretty good beer. As I said earlier, the anticipation did not kill this beer. I think it is well made, but I do not think that this is the best pale ale ever. Good brew.

Bottle. Pours a translucent orange with a quickly diminishing off-white head. The aroma is very vegetal with hints of a fruit citrus and some caramel. Bitterness bites the tongue as soon as the brew comes in contact. The flavour is a balance of vegetables, fruit citrus (such as orange), hops, and malts with some hints of pine. The finish introduces some of the caramel flavours as the bitterness quickly fades and the maltiness becomes a little more prevalent. I like balance in some beers. But I personally like my pale ales to be imbalanced with hops blasting you right in the face. This is just "ok."

pours copper hue with biege head, it has subdued malt aroma anchored with hops. very enjoyable flavor, it finishes bitter.
