| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 21, 2009 pours a pleasant golden amber with slight off white head, fair lacing. smells of refreshing hops with a bit of darker malt. The malt really comes through in the flavor; I was surprisingly delighted. Unlike many american pale ales which don’t have the malt to balance those distinctive american hops, this one does. Absolutely delightful. A bit sweet in the middle with a pulsing fade out. mmmm. beer4mencc1701 (21), Irving, Texas, USA

Dark, shiny amber, sweet toasty bread herbal aroma with a roasted rich perfectly hopped and nicely balanced resiny-clean taste. Lively, exciting mouthfeel, would order again-highly sessionable. mrhoppy (209), Santa Clara, California, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 11, 2009 On tap at the Burger Bar in Las Vegas. Pours a clear, amber red body with a thin, khaki pink head that leaves a light, oily lacing. The head does come back with a swirl. Aroma is sweet caramels and even sweeter berries and melons. A lighter than anticipated, floral and earthy citrus, but still nice. Just not as over the top as some other Stone’s that I’ve had. Flavor is similar and very well balanced with a nice, light to medium amount of earthy bitterness. Malty and fruity with a semi long, dry finish. Medium bodied and smooth. Overall, a solid pale ale. Not as intense as I was hoping for, but quite enjoyable nonetheless. Cirrhosis (615), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 10, 2009 "Body appears hazy brown/orange, there is a small skiff of cap produce during the poor and this lasted a very long time. The hops in the aroma are mild but still very aggressive. Is that watermelon I smell? I as I review this brew and watch T.V. the beer is getting warmer and more malts and earthy tones are coming out. Flavor is a touch watery and oxidized this might be an older bottle can’t find a date on it. Nice malty flavor that reminds me of leather and bread dough. The hops are very easy to detect but still subdued enough to let the malt come through. Tasty brew not the best I’v ever had but this drinkable and I would gladly drink it again." elihapa (1044), Honolulu, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jun 9, 2009 Bottle. Pours orangish with a small head. Aroma has citrusy hops and a balanced malt character. Flavor is fruity and slightly vegetal initially, but moves predicably towards some clean hop bitterness in the finish. Good, but all in all quite tame.
