3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: AUG 24, 2007 Aroma of soft citrus and a freshly mowed lawn. Color a pale copper, topped with an especially sticky and lacy off-white. Flavor is a nice subtle grass and butter, with some cream notes and a profusion of fresh ruby red grapefruit. A pretty superb and highly drinkable brew. Palate is fairly impeccable, with warming notes and general drinkability. Finish a little dry, but well balanced.

Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. This is a hazy dark amber beer with a red fruit and spicy orange flavours, pine notes and a warming creamy peppery finish.

Had experienced pine, two-row malt, American yeast, and hay. Why is it that the day I actually try this, was the day I decided to visit California? Went well with a feta pizza in town.

From the bottle. Dry bitter hops with minor pine and slight malt sweetness in the aroma. Taste is aggressive, dry bitterness with some pine and background sweetness. Clean mouthfeel. Okay.

Just a solid APA, a go-to. Caramel malts and bitterness to counter, a well balanced beer

pours unclear medium dark golden orange with a nice off-white head, some retention and lacing. toasted and lightly spiced maltiness - fresh cereals, caramel touch, very nice yet mild fruitiness - peaches, citrus, oranges, almost like some lagering fruitiness, few pine needles, pepper, grass, pinch of dirt. moderate to low carbonation - slightly lacking, light body, herbal-grassy-citrusy-gently piney balanced finish. did i say a balanced stone brew? yes, and it is tasty and dangerously quaffable. much enjoyed! in my sense, a great example of what an american pale ale oughta be, which would be, as obvious as it seems, an american twist to an english pale ale..

Solid brew...always a good go to brew...decent aroma but the crisp clean falvor that is not too crazy works well...no Pliny...but sometimes you need a good solid pale and this is it.

This beer has a real offputting taste. Seems they could have saved this with more hops and an IPA label but as it stands it’s got a weak non-distinct taste.

Flaska från Bishop Arms i Lund. Trevlig american pale ale från Stone. Balanserad men hade väntat mig lite mer.
