3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
After reading this beer's ratings I was excited to try it. It was a decent pale ale, but I wonder if I got a bad bottle... it didn't do much more for me than other pale ales.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: DEC 16, 2014 12 oz. bottle from Best Damn Beer Shop. Good for those who may not be ready for a full blown IPA. A subtle but distinct pine hops presence against a solid malt base provides a bold, crisp flavor. The end is bitter and dry but not nearly as bitter as an IPA. Aftertaste is the residual bitterness and the bread of the malt. Well crafted and very drinkable.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
355 ml bottle. Pours a nice clear amber with a dense off-white head. Modest piney nose with a malty background. Medium body with a sharp hop bite against a sold malt base. Nice lingering balance of malt and hops.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours deep red, not pale at all really, with a fluffy white head. Aroma is candy, some sweet malts, hints of roast. Taste is subtle, lots of rich malt backed up by a reasonably aggressive bitterness. Some candy lingering, but the main impression is made by the hops. Not very pale, perhaps a bit bitter for the style, but damn nice.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a nice copper, not too much aroma. Some hops flavor comes through, and some sweetness. As a pale ale itís a good session beer.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Blah. I am content with the Stone IPA, so figured I would give it a chance. Completely lost my interest because of the bland taste...watery.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
From a 22 oz. bottle purchased locally. Aroma is hoppy, citrus and a little fruit. Color is a clear amber burnt orange with a fluffy beige head. Firmly bitter but a great malt profile. Toasty and a little cracker. Hop flavor in the end and a clean dry finish. Not too carbonated and very easy drinking. A great example of the style.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a translucent orange with a quickly diminishing off-white head. The aroma is very vegetal with hints of a fruit citrus and some caramel. Bitterness bites the tongue as soon as the brew comes in contact. The flavour is a balance of vegetables, fruit citrus (such as orange), hops, and malts with some hints of pine. The finish introduces some of the caramel flavours as the bitterness quickly fades and the maltiness becomes a little more prevalent.
I like balance in some beers. But I personally like my pale ales to be imbalanced with hops blasting you right in the face. This is just "ok."

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a dark amber from the bottle. Nice long lasting off-white head and lacing. There are large bubbles escaping and much smaller bubbles generally floating in this brew. The aroma consists of more flowery hops as opposed to piney hops (which in my mind is a huge plus). Iím not impressed by the palate of this beer, although it may be representative of its style. The flavor is better than average, because the hops are rather muted. Not bad for a pale ale.

Had on tap at Luxbar. Have to say one of my favorite Pale Ale....very smooth, creamy head..
