Deep amber in color, Stone Pale Ale is robust and full flavored. A delicate hop aroma is complemented by a rich maltiness.

Blah. I am content with the Stone IPA, so figured I would give it a chance. Completely lost my interest because of the bland taste...watery.

Clear medium amber color-- nice, white cream head that has nicelacing. Nose is freshly hoppy, a little bit sweet and citrusy. Clean, mouthfeel, quite smooth. Love the palate

On tap at the brewery. A nice tasting easy drinking brew. The IPA’s and imperials rock, but you wouldn’t want to slam pitchers of them. This is a nice brew that is complex enough to impress beer geeks, but simple enough not to scare way all the "Amstel Light" Kids....

My hopes were high for this one, but it was not the best pale ale I’ve had. I’d like to see more crisp hoppiness. Don’t get me wrong, its a tasty beer, but I guess I just hold Stone to a higher standard.

Bottle. Amber color with thin head and little lacing. Smell is sweet caramel maltyness with slight pine hop presents. Taste is grapefruit, resinous, strong caramel malt pine, and a little spice on the end. Medium carbonation, mouthfeel feels spritzy. Good pale ale.

Bottle. Pours a rich orange color with big fluffy white head that leaves good lacing around the glass. Aroma is caramel and lemons. Flavor is sweet and filled with malt which is then nicely cut by by the tangyness of the hops as it hits the back of the mouth. A good solid offering from a brewery that is really doing things right at the moment.

Different and better than I expected for an APA. The commercial deScription is right on: the great floral aroma of the west coast hops dominate the aroma, while a perfect balance of maltiness rounds out he flavor. Tasty and refreshing.

One of my favorite American Pale Ales. Though I am new to hoppy beers, I have enjoyed the Stone offerings.

Pours a dark hazy orange with a beige head. Has aromas of hops, fruit, pine, and floral. The flavors were Hops, malt, citrus and fruit. An excellent APA.

A very clean looking ale, much more red than I expected. Head was pretty bubbly but dissipated to a thin film. Slightly hoppy aroma, but not near as much as the IPA. Dry character, slightly sweet malty flavor. Overall, an excellent brew.
