3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
An awesome pale ale with all the hops you’d expect from Stone. Pours darker than your average pale ale. Tasted a bit "green" to me. Grassy and lightly fruity. For me, it makes a decent chugger.

Blah. I am content with the Stone IPA, so figured I would give it a chance. Completely lost my interest because of the bland taste...watery.

Welcome to NC Stone Brewing Co.! While pale ales are not my preferred beer of choice, I do have to admit as they go, this is a good one. The pour is a nice copper, with a decent white head. The nose is well balanced with hops, malt and even a hint of sugars. The taste is equally well balanced, refreshing and leaves a nice lemon aftertaste, but is not nearly as hopped as some of their other ales. Worth trying and is a winner for its style.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JUN 29, 2009 12 oz bottle I found this offering from Stone to be pretty average in comparison to their other ales. It’s certainly better that most pale ales, but that said, it is a far cry from Ruination, Arrogant and Double Bastard. Or smoked porter. Just sayin.

SD trip, sampler: Amber to copper pale ale with piney and citrus notes. This may have seemed less flavorful due to the Sublimely I was having at the time.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
It poured a darker orange-brown with minimal head that dispersed quickly.
The smell of hops was obvious but not strong or overwhelming at all--really got put your nose to it.
Feels slighty bitter and bubbly in the mouth.
The taste in a strong, hoppy one, slightly bitter. You can tell the alcohol is there but not strongly.
Definitely drinkable and would recommend.

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
This is my most fav. beer in the world.....hence the perfect 5.Great white (not shark) head not to foamy not too flat. The aroma has a prickly hoppy fruity flavor which matches its overall flavor. Not too tart but a slight fruity similar too a Bass but much more. Big backbone on malty flavor very smooth thouout the tastbud transfusion and the aftertaste goes on and on...no skunkyness

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber with an off-white head. Aroma is floral hops with a little bit of biscuity malt. Flavors are floral hops, citrus hops, some Caramel malts as well. Nice, crisp finish.
