Bottle from Lithy. Amber color. Soft but pleasant aroma of malt, flowers, grapefruit and red berries. Well hopped beer, flowery with red berries and citrusfruit. Fruity, slightly earthy hopbitter aftertaste. Well balanced session beer.

Deep amber color, medium white head. Aroma of caramel and light sitrus. Taste starts sweet, then bitter lemon. OK.

Bottled, 355ml from Burg Bieren, Ermelo, Netherlands. Brownish amber with off white head. Finally got to try the original and although there is a soft, tropical fruity hoppiness the thing that really strikes is the malty sweetness, way above what I was expecting. Almost candy like, the hops try to cut through but they are a little masked. A little disappointed really.

amber colour, nice lace, strong hop aroma, smooth, lot of character, long bitter and slightly spicy aftertaste. Could well be the best pale ale I have ever tasted.

355ml bottle (Alko Arkadia, Helsinki)
Sweet caramelly aroma. Bright orange, floaty bits, Watery palate. Toffe and some walnut papers at first.. But after the first sip it’s just sweet water with some hint of hops. Another uninteresting APA.

Bottle @ home. Slightly hazy, dark, burnt orange appearance with a tan head. Lightly citrusy, light juniper, light piney, earthy hoppy, nice malty nose. Great pale/amber malty, earthy, light piney hoppy flavor. Good malty body with a nice, moderately hoppy taste.

Thanks to Barry at Hurricane Grill and wings. For a pale ale this is bad ass. Malty and hoppy meet like harry met sally. Great pale ale here. Seek it if you havent had it!

This beer rocks. Wonderful aroma of rich malt and lively hops. Alcohol, caramel, toffee, vanilla and a unique hop spiciness are evident in the nose as well. A beautiful, sparkling, deep amber hue. Large, white, creamy head with excellent lacing. Mostly diminishing... eventually. The flavor is superb. Creamy rich malt. Slightly sweet up front. Medium bitter on the backside. Very well balanced. Notes of toffee, honey and caramel. Medium-bodied. Lively carbonation with a creamy mouthfeel. Nice, dry, crisp finish. Excellent pale ale. If I lived in Southern California, not many days would go by when I woudn’t enjoy one of these beautys. Reminds me a bit of Rogue’s Dead Guy Ale. If you enjoy this beer, you will certainly enjoy the Rogue as well.
