Bottled, 355ml from Burg Bieren, Ermelo, Netherlands. Brownish amber with off white head. Finally got to try the original and although there is a soft, tropical fruity hoppiness the thing that really strikes is the malty sweetness, way above what I was expecting. Almost candy like, the hops try to cut through but they are a little masked. A little disappointed really.

If, as the bottle say, this is their flagship beer, how come I can get every other of their non-seasonal except this one?! Regardless, hazy copper body topped by small beige head. Big hoppy aroma (grapefruit/flowery), supported by mild sweetness. Flavor is medium flowery hoppy, with hints of peach and grapefruit. Chewy body. No attempt to overwhelm you, which is somewhat unexpected in a Stone brew. Instead, what they've given is a delicious full-bodied beer.

Scopey (12502) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 26, 2012
Bottle at BrewDog Camden. It pours clear deep amber, with a thick beige head. The nose is resin, straw, pine, floral, grass and brown bread. The taste is grass, pine, hay, straw, more grass, citrus pith and grapefruit, with a long bitter-dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A good pale ale, but perhaps a bit too dry.

Bottle. [thanks to my good friend Øster for sending this from California]
It pours a light hazy orange-amber. Head is quite large, a bit yellowish, quite bubbly (small bubbles). Aroma is very flowery hoppy, but still well-rounded. There is a good dose of caramel in the background as well. Rather low carbonated. Flavour is mild, extremely well hopped. Balance between mouthfeel, hops and caramel sweetness is absolutely stunning. Not that dry at the end as I’d suspect, but this is the session beer of choice if ever I live in Escondido :o) Insanely drinkable and very low in alcohol - great! I want more
