Sweet malt and spicy citrus hop aroma. Very nicely balanced. Very smooth malt, dried fruits, also some tropical fruits and an awesome hoppy bite. Above average mouthfeel, I like it alot. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 16, 2005 Copper color with no head. Grainy aroma with a slight hop end. The taste is overwhelemed with a bland grain smoothie-like taste. Some earthy hops, but not enough to counteract the bad part. Disappointing. ClarkVV (3578), Allston, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 30, 2004 2004 bottle. Orange-amber-yellow with some very light reds. Decent off-white head, quite foamy, lots of lacing. Clear. Smells very dry of hops, paper, biscuits, white bread. Flavor is hugely dry, not overly bitter, but just so dry you wonder where the malt is. Definitely strong for the style, though I really like that. Flavor is certainly crisp and clean, I just can’t seem to get used to the huge dryness of the malt and hops. larsniclas (3392), Gothenburg, Sweden

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 20, 2005 Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jerc & tupalev -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a clear orange-amber with an average size lasting off-white head. Very pleasant aroma of fresh citrus hops with a nice amount of caramel malt to balance it out. Delicious flavour starts hoppy followed by some sweet maltiness and ends with a nice bitterness. Well balanced and medium bodied. One of Stone’s mellower beers, it would make for a great session ale. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 22, 2007 Pours a translucent golden amber with a medium creamy/lacing off white head. Aroma of caramel, tea, some citrus hops, and some other various fruits. Flavors of hops, caramel and lightly toasted malts and yeast. Some nuts. I prefer IPA’s but this one had a nice hop bitterness and flavor along with a decent malt backbone.
