4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Tabbe (12) - - JAN 15, 2013Nice golden color. Another great brew from Stone Brewing. A nice hoppy bitterness and hop aroma. Some malt here, but in the background. As most hoppy beers from Stone - this too is about the american hops. An easy drinker.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 demondeacon09 (32) - Tennessee, USA - MAY 23, 2013
12 oz. bottle poured into an ale glass. Orange-brown color with a medium beige head that lingers. Aroma of bread, toast, and nuts with a faint herbal smell coming through. Taste is very malty with a hint of caramel and pretty darn good. The finish is fairly bitter with an average carbonation. Overall a very good pale ale, but I slightly prefer the citrusy nature of Sierra Nevada’s pale ale.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Brouwerij (414) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAY 22, 2013
Bottle. Pours an amber copper with fine off-white head. Aroma is mildly hoppy, bitter, with significant malt background, smells surprisingly well balanced. Flavor is mildly hoppy up front, building slightly, mildly resinous, fading into malty, nutty finish. Well balanced and rounded flavor profile, transition from hop to malt is seamless. Moderate carbonation, medium body, and semi-smooth finish. A very enjoyable, malty, well done pale ale.

Just a good Pale Ale. Only what you would expect from Stone. Very enjoyable.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 ClubGonzo (2717) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAY 13, 2013
Bottle @ Henrik, Bergen. Pours a deep clear coppery amber body with a small white head. Aroma is sweet caramel and pine with syrupy "DIPA-ish" tones and hints of apricot and red fruits. Taste is dense syrupy pine and caramel tones, apricot and hints of cherries. Medium body and carbonation. Nice and pretty drinkable, though I long for a bit more freshness and a bit less "DIPA"-like flavor profile.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 airrick2003 (172) - Louisiana, USA - MAY 10, 2013
Appearance: amazingly dense tall beige head, very clear amber color, decent to below average lacing
Aroma: kind of subtle maltiness, grassiness, pine
Taste: a bit of grain, piney, grass, bitter on the finish
Palate: lively carbonation, more towards a light body leaves a hoppy bitter aftertaste
Overall: my favorite Stone I’ve had to date, this is a good pale ale, quite flavorful, almost to the point of an IPA
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 queenholly (1853) - South Whitley, Indiana, USA - MAY 10, 2013
Bottle. Caramel malt and orange hops aroma. Hazy light amber with a moderate yellowed ivory head. Caramel, charred toast, astringent citrus peel and herbal hops flavor. Medium body, soft carbonation.
4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Unde (88) - FINLAND - MAY 10, 2013
Orange with some bronze and somewhat hazy looking beer. Big head and leaves a lot of lacing to the glass. Sweet scent, and strangely some dried plums or raisins, interesting because there isn’t that much bitterness. Gentle soft beer, sweet malts and delicate hop flavors. Quite moderate APA, maybe it could use some more hops but this does it’s job well like it is. Actually quite good overall.

Very nice fresh and clean taste of malt sweetness with just the right amount of hops for a pale ale. This is the best pale ale I have had so far.
