Deep amber in color, Stone Pale Ale is robust and full flavored. A delicate hop aroma is complemented by a rich maltiness.

A great pale ale. For the newcomer to pale ales, it might be a bit over the top, but itís on par with many pale ales. The hop balance is great and itís a great overall beer. My standby, now that I found it close to home.

355ml bottle. Looks great in the glass with a thick deep light beige foam top and a dark orange hazy base. Flowery hop aromas delight the nose and lead into a mouth tingling flavour sensation with hops flavours that sit on the tongue well after the beer is gone. Another great effort from Stone.

Poured into a 12oz. Glass. Color is amber, and slightly cloudy. Head is off white and sticks around. Aroma right out of the bottle was very smooth hops. Flavor is slightly fruity (citrus) and hoppy. Medium full bodied with a lively carbonation. Finishes bitter the way you would expect a Stone brew to. Overall this is a great beer from Stone that is a much more mild alternative to Arrogant Bastard... this is a Tasty Bastard!!!

The perfect pale ale! slight citrus, good malt. A little understated, but amazingly delicious!

Serving glass: Poured from bottle into Nonic Imperial Pint. Appearance: Clear amber with moderate, foamy off-white head. Aroma: Grainy and toasted malt, nice orange-driven citrus and some spiciness. Taste: Very citrusy and fruity, with orange, grapefruit and possible some darker fruits as well. Semi-sweet overall, with a malt backbone of caramel, toasted and grainy malts. Turns more spicy and bitter on the finish with lingering grapefruit and pine. Well balanced. Palate: Moderate carbonation, fairly creamy body, very dry on the finish. Overall: One of the best APAs I have had. Complex, yet very drinkable. Slightly bitter but the sweet core keeps it well balanced. This beer actually improves my opinion of Stone more than all the extreme beers. Making a mouth-wrenching IPA or Strong Ale is easier than the subtle balance needed for this APA.

No powiem ze jestem milo zaskoczony. Nareszcie piwo mocnio nachmielone i bardzo bardzo gozkie w piciu. O dziwo srednio sie wyczuwa w zapachu cytrusowosc chmieli z USA. A w smaku takze jakby to byluy inne odmiany, europejskie. Dziwne mam troche skojarzenia. Mocna podstawa slodowa orzechowa koncowka no i to o czym juz wspomnialem, bardzo gozki smak i finisz.

Bottle. Pours copper with a frothy white head. There are aromas of caramel, cut grass, bready tones and floral hops. It really smells fantastic. Flavors start off slightly malty but then lean heavily on nuttiness, bready tones and some rather herbally floral hops. Clean, hoppy, dry finish. Clean, but slightly oily mouthfeel. The hops kind of coat the tongue, which isnít a bad thing. Overall, this is a very nice pale ale, but I find myself wanting just a bit more malt character. But donít get me wrong. This one is a keeper.

caramel, chocolate, nuts, floral, citrus, pale, golden, minimal head, white foam, Great beer overall. One of my all time favorites and will continue to be in my rotation. Would highly recommend as a gateway beer to the Pale world.
