Deep amber in color, Stone Pale Ale is robust and full flavored. A delicate hop aroma is complemented by a rich maltiness.

UPDATED: JAN 2, 2004 Fresh aroma, beautiful clear orange hues with a head that dissapates rather quickly. Hop combination is refreshingly citrus with orange flavor predominating, malt perfectly apparent, finishes clean. In my opinion this is the standard -bearer for "American Pale ales"

UPDATED: DEC 7, 2008 i love the way they talk about the beer on the bottles, so arrogant and they think they know what they’re doing and they brag so much about how amazing their beer is... ...well yea, it really IS that good, and they deserve to be arrogant

This pale ale is delicious and refreshing. It is subtle without a burst of flavor of hops, just as a pale ale should be. It has a beautiful, bright amber color and the bottles/labels are awesome.

pours amber, slightly hazy, thick frothy head, good amount of carbonation and good lacing left behind. the aroma is extremely hoppy, very strong smell and some slight citrus. the taste is very hoppy and bitter up front and sort of grassy. the beer is thick as well.. One of my new favorite beers!

From tap. Pours a copper color with thin head. Aroma was sweet malt, some floral hops and a little earthiness. Taste follows with bread and a great balance between bitter and malt backing.

UPDATED: AUG 25, 2013 Had it at World of Beer in Evanston IL. Pours a clear orange hue with a delightful hop citrus aroma and a silky smooth hop pine taste.

Wonderful American pale ale, quite creamy but well balanced body and really nice hoppiness in the end.

Looks great, clear red/orange with an ample off-white head. Aroma mainly taken up by pine hops. The hops also provide flavors of citrus with smaller pine notes hiding in there. The malts provide clean and sweet caramel flavors. The carbonation is a little harsh, but a good thick and sticky mouthfeel otherwise. The aftertaste is bitter yet floral hop. Amazingly drinkable and refreshing pale ale.

Pours copper-red with lasting lace. Sweet malty nose and citrusy hops. Huge caramel malt mash bill, almost like a slice of sticky toffee pudding. Overall, a great example of style if your PA style is maximum malt.
