Draft at Draught 55. Pours deep amber with a thick white head. Aroma is floral, hoppy, citrusy with some malt notes. Taste is a good balance of hops and malts with a bitter, dry hop finish. Okay.

12 oz. bottle. Dark copper pour, with a big, beige head and good lacing. Looks like a beer ought to look. Aroma of toast, caramel, pine and resin. Very bitter flavor, with a good malt backbone. Medium body, lightly chalky, and astringent. Overall, this is a malty, aggressively hopped pale ale. Great flavor and perfect appearance. Very nice.

Sweet caramelly aroma. Bright orange, floaty bits, Watery palate. Toffe and some walnut papers at first.. But after the first sip it’s just sweet water with some hint of hops. Another uninteresting APA.

Too bad. Stone are supposed to be better than this. The IPA is much better. Try that instead. Weak.

Bottle into pint glass. Pours a copper color with light tan head. Aroma of heavy caramel malt with citrus/floral hops. Taste is pretty malty, somewhat of a nutty note, ending with bitter citrus/earthy hops. Medium body, light carbonation, soft, oily with a slight bitter finish. On the malty side but very well balanced.

Pours a clear copper color with a thin white head. Aroma has earthy hops and light maltiness. Flavor is earthy/hoppy with notes of tea and citrus...toasty and caramel malts. Mouthfeel is light/medium and silky with an earthy/bitter, dry finish.

This might be my new favorite pale ale. Pours copper (with floating sediment) and ample cream foam. Slight citrus and yeast nose. Full palate, grapefruit-ish middle with a smooth, creamy, bitter finish.
